After oil reservoirs are discovered beneath her land, Sarah almost immediately becomes one of the wealthiest people in America. But the government intervenes, once again, to insist that white conservators manage her finances for her. Remarkably, even with the deck stacked against her, teenage Sarah learns to outwit the system and take back what she’s owed.
Matthew Pearl and Charlie Wachtel will produce the film with Greg Nichols and David Rabinowitz exec producing.

John Ridley, who won an Oscar for writing “12 Years a Slave,” will write and direct an untitled paranormal thriller movie for Blumhouse.
The film is based on the recently published article “Project Poltergeist,” written by Saleah Blancaflor. The story, based on true events, is set in the 1960s and follows unexplained events surrounding the first alleged haunting in a public housing project that terrified a young boy in New Jersey.
“This is an incredible true-life narrative of a young man dealing with horrors — both paranormal and racially systemic — in a community that is scarred by hate, yet ultimately brought together by hope,” Ridley said. “I really appreciate Blumhouse’s commitment to telling stories that seek to entertain audiences even as it challenges them.”
Jason Blum will produce for Blumhouse. Matthew Pearl and Greg Nicholas are executive producing the film. The film will be produced by Blumhouse in association with Truly Adventurous.

Inception 2 isn’t likely to happen – not now, and perhaps not ever, according to Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
When quizzed about the possibility of a sequel by one curious Twitter user (via Screen Rant), Gordon-Levitt laughed off the suggestion that Christopher Nolan was planning to get the crew back together for another mind heist.
First released in 2010, Inception is arguably one of Nolan’s greatest achievements – a fiercely original piece of work that is so meticulously crafted, it demands to be viewed multiple times in order to parse its labyrinthine plot. Dazzling viewers with intricate storylines is a common trait of Nolan’s, as is the director’s natural tendency to avoid retreading old territory. With the exception of The Dark Knight trilogy, ‘Christopher Nolan’ and ‘movie sequel’ are two terms that you’re unlikely to find nestled in the same sentence, so by that logic alone, Inception 2 has always been considered an unrealistic proposition.
