South Korean sales company 9ers Entertainment has announced a slew of deals led by the present-day remake of Lee Myung-se’s 1990 hit My Love My Bride selling to Japan (The Klockworx).
Directed by Lim Chan-sang (The President’s Barber), the romantic comedy stars Shin Min-a (A Bittersweet Life) and Jo Jung-suk (The Face Reader). The film also sold to the Philippines (Viva Communications, Inc.), Vietnam (Lotte Cinema Vietnam), Indonesian, Laos, Cambodia and East Timor (Multivision Plus), Taiwan (Av-Jet International Media Co.) and worldwide airplane rights (Emphasis).
9ers also sold the exploited big-box retailer employees’ saga Cart to Hong Kong (Edko Films) and Taiwan (Av-Jet). The film made its world premiere in Toronto.
The company did pre-sales on romantic drama Snow In Sea Breeze to Taiwan (Av-Jet), Hong Kong (Edko), Indonesian, Laos, Cambodia and East Timor (Multivision Plus).
