- Award-winning filmmaker Brent Primus had his journey begin on February 13, 1994, in Visalia, CA. Shortly after, he and his family moved to Grand Rapids, MI, where Primus' interest in film was developed. His intense knowledge of film history and film technique was mainly learned by watching thousands of films. His favorite directors include Paul Thomas Anderson, Terrence Malick, Wes Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, and the Coen Brothers, among many more. In 2012, Primus moved to Palm Beach, FL, to study Cinema-Television. Here, Primus' talent was crafted and sculpted. At age 20 Primus won a National Screenwriting Award at the prestigious BEA Festival of Media Arts. The following year, in 2016, he received 2nd-place at the festival. In May of 2016, Primus' first book, "Here Are Some of My Thoughts", was published and became available in bookstores worldwide. The following year, in 2016, he received 2nd-place at the festival for a short script titled "Comic Noir". The same year, Primus won Best Screenplay at the Aurora Awards for his short film "Intertwined on the Coast". Soon after, his first book was released, titled "Here Are Some of My Thoughts". Primus moved to Los Angeles, California, in July 2016. As of 2024, he works in the film industry while writing books.
