- Hans Wijnberg was born on November 28, 1922 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He died on May 25, 2011 in Midlaren, Netherlands.
- He insisted his chemistry students warn him before they started exhaust fans in his chemistry lab classes. The clinkety-clank noise of the fans starting sounded too much like machine gun fire. He would literally hit the deck.
- He was found dead in bed. The morning after his interviews with Canadian film crew for "The Real Inglorious Bastards".
