Nick Kyrgios has pulled out from yet another tournament, this time the sixth edition of the Ultimate Tennis Showdown (Uts) scheduled to take place in mid-September.
The Australian star is the first player who has officially withdrawn from the Uts Tour's second event of 2023 in Frankfurt, Germany, and the tournament will announce his replacement in the coming days to complete the eight-man lineup.
Among the players who are invited to the event include the Russian duo of Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev, Christoper Eubanks, Benoit Paire, Gael Monfils, Diego Schwartzman, and Reilly Opelka. Matches will take place over the course of three days between September 15th - 17th, 2023.

Veteran American coach Rick Macci believes Carlos Alcaraz 's spectacular rise has pushed every player on the Atp Tour out of their comfort zones to work harder and smarter.
Earlier this year, Macci called Alcaraz the most complete player in the sport , given his quick mastery of all the surfaces and the vast array of shots he's got at his disposal. Macci's prophetic assertion couldn't be more true than when Alcaraz won a maiden grass court title at Wimbledon this year.
At only 20, Alcaraz's dominance is starting to show week in and week out and in the biggest events on the calendar. His five-set win over Novak Djokovic led many to proclaim that the changing of the guard has now happened in tennis. Macci referred to him as a generational talent in an exclusive interview with us.

Injured Australian star Nick Kyrgios believes different standards apply to different players in tennis, citing Pablo Carreno Busta 's latest withdrawal.
The Spanish baseliner has not fully recovered from a persistent elbow injury that has limited him to just a handful of appearances this year and has not played since early February and now he withdrew from his title defense at the Canadian Open in Toronto. Even though Carreno Busta was pictured practicing in recent weeks, his latest withdrawal is an indication the pain is still there .
Carreno Busta is set to drop 1000 ranking points for missing next week's Canadian Open after his stunning triumph last year and is expected to leave the world's Atp Top 100 for the first time in 10 years. The 2022 Wimbledon finalist sent his best wishes to the Spaniard for a speedy recovery but hit out at tennis pundits who pick and choose in pouring sympathy.

Nick Kyrgios lashed out against former player Jimmy Arias who said some things about the Australian during a segment on the Tennis Channel.
A former world number 5 on the Atp Tour, Arias works as a tennis commentator for the Tennis Channel and ESPN, and speaking to the Tennis Channel, Arias made some comments on Kyrgios. It came as a reaction to the Australian saying that the tennis schedule is crazy and that he won't be playing in his thirties.
Arias didn't hold back in his comments on Kyrgios , pointing out that the Australian doesn't even play the full schedule, so him complaining about it makes no sense. In fairness, Kyrgios doesn't play as much as other players and skips the clay season regularly.
Kyrgios was made aware of the comments, and he lashed out against Arias on Twitter, accusing him of using Kyrgios' name in order to stay relevant. He...

Nick Kyrgios has been criticized by former Atp player Jimmy Arias after his comment about not playing for much longer.
Kyrgios has always been quite open about his lack of dedication to tennis. It's only recently that he's really taken it seriously, which is what allowed him to put together the successful 2022 campaign. The Australian, though, doesn't plan on pushing himself too far.
He recently commented that he would not be playing into his thirties because the tennis schedule is crazy. It's not a shocking statement, as he never really talked about playing for a very long time. It was always about maximizing his time and then retiring and never coming back.
The sport’s crazy. The schedule is out of control. No f**king change [I play till I am 33], there’s no way. There's no chance. I'm playing till 33? Insane! I'm not playing till 33. I promise you when I'm gone, you'll never see me again.

Coco Gauff has a glaring weakness in her game, like many of her fellow pros, but hearing criticism from all corners has turned it into a mental problem according to Jimmy Arias.
The former Atp world number five was asked on the Inside-In podcast how he would address Coco Gauff's forehand. Jimmy Arias went into the specifics of executing a forehand and mentioned that Gauff has got it all wrong in terms of technique and execution .
But Arias says while that side of the issue can be solved, Gauff has probably heard enough of it from pundits and fans on social media, and it might actually get into her head. The Tennis Channel commentator said the problem might actually be more mental at this point.
Gauff is aware her forehand is defective and hasn't been able to take that next giant step to fulfill her teenage promise. Since she burst...

Former Atp player Jimmy Arias believes Carlos Alcaraz is a composite of the Big 3 for combining all their strengths.
Arias joined the tennis caravan of players and pundits who agree with Novak Djokovic's assessment that Carlos Alcaraz is a mix of the Big 3 following his Wimbledon success a few weeks ago. Alcaraz has drawn an outpouring of praise following his meteoric rise.
The Atp world number has enjoyed a stellar career on the main tour, winning two Grand Slam titles on different surfaces , something none of the Big 3 - the golden standard of men's tennis featuring Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal - managed to do by the age of 20.
And Arias thinks the final game in which Alcaraz served for the Championship was conclusive evidence of making such a bold claim. Alcaraz did not miss a single first serve in that game, and Novak Djokovic only missed one return of serve,...

Iga Swiatek has previously talked about embracing weaknesses, but former Atp player Jimmy Arias thinks her personality of taking women's tennis to a new level is lacking.
Swiatek has come in for harsh criticism in recent years as a result of breaking down and crying in periods of crises. Occasionally, Swiatek has burst into tears when losing matches or during press conferences, most notably at this year's United Cup singles defeat to Jessica Pegula .
Since becoming the Wta 's top-ranked player in the early part of 2022 , Swiatek has felt the added pressure of being under the microscope. She has admitted that crying in defeat is just as normal as screaming in joy while winning - both are part of human behavior she says.
But Arias doesn't mind seeing the Pole angry and emotional in matches and wants to see the personality side of her game. Arias believes this might actually...

Carlos Alcaraz is still only 20, but he is better than everybody else, including 23-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic , according to retired Atp player Jimmy Arias.
Speaking to Tennis Channel Inside-In Podcast , Arias, who currently serves as a match commentator, says Carlos Alcaraz has the highest level of any player he has seen, past or present, and added that he has learned to deal with the baggage of pressure very quickly and at a very young age.
Alcaraz was the odds-on favorite to beat Djokovic in their blockbuster semifinal at last month's French Open but was easily overpowered by the Serb after he was afflicted by cramps midway through the match. Alcaraz later admitted to being reduced to a puddle of nerves and tension, something he had never experienced before.
Arias said that it was some reaction by Alcaraz to be able to quickly overcome that mental hurdle and...
