Benjamin Feder
- Costume Designer
- Producer
Graduating from Syracuse University in 2003 with a BFA in Computer Art and Animation along with a BFA in Fashion Design, Benjamin Feder quickly established himself as one of the top players in costume design for computer animated films. Born April 20, 1980, he found his love of fashion as a young boy, having been taught to sew by his mother. While he knew he would always want to become a designer, he found a second passion, film, while in high school. Despite never being quite interested in movies, Benjamin was struck by new computer animated films such as A Bug's Life and Toy Story, which influenced him in a way that would change his life. He was fascinated by the complex and surreal themes and messages these films could illustrate. In his career, he has combined his love for fashion and desire to work in films with CG animation by becoming a Costume Designer for such types of films. Benjamin has already worked with several major animation studios, but his dream is still to work with Pixar someday, citing John Lasseter and Pete Docter as his favorite writers/directors. He resides in Los Angeles, California, with his husband, Filmmaker/Actor Michael Hayes Walsh and their daughter, Ling.
