Chamir José Lazaro Capellán, also known as Diamond La Mafia, filed a formal complaint against fellow rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine on behalf of his producers, Cristian Anthony Rojas and Nelson Alfonso Hilario García in the Dominican Republic after the rapper allegedly attacked Rojas and Garcia.
In an interview with El Gordo y La Flaca, Capellán revealed his side of the story. He and Tekashi 6ix9ine’s girlfriend, Yailin La Mas Viral, tried to record their new song, but the rapper “wouldn’t stop calling Yailin.”
After some time, Yalin decided to stop and continue another day.
Once the two had left, Yailin called Capellán and told him that Tekashi 6ix9ine was in Santo Domingo and wanted to meet him. Capellán agreed to show Tekashi 6ix9ine that “nothing weird” was happening between them.
Before he got to the studio, one of the producers called him and told him what had happened.

Looks like it is time to start preparing ourselves for another brutal horror thriller from our friend Lucio A Rojas. Spiritually, emotionally, and physically preparing ourselves. Rojas continues to exorcise his demons - or appease them, I don’t know - through the medium of film. He has recently wrapped up shooting his new thriller, Basement Games, an adaptation of Simone Trojahn’s 2019 novel of the same name. Basement Games tells the story of Laura, a young traveling photographer who, while traveling in southern Chile, is kidnapped by some brothers who live in a rural town, unleashing a horrible ordeal at the hands of her captors. Rural towns… are the worst. Rojas has recently completed filming on the new film and...

Exclusive: Filmmaker Cord Jefferson has, in recent years, made two life-changing decisions.
In 2008, he donated a kidney to his father.
“That was easy,” he said.
“That was one of the easiest decisions I ever made. I mean, he gave me life. I feel like the kidney’s half his,” the 41-year-old declared.
A few years later, Jefferson read novelist Percival Everett’s book Erasure.
Then he adapted it for the big screen and called it American Fiction. The project became his feature film directorial debut.
The searingly provocative movie had its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival and has emerged as one of the best films of the year, joining the handful of movies that have so far galvanized the fall festivals at Venice, Telluride and Toronto.
Orion Pictures releases American Fiction in select theaters November 3, expanding it November 17.

Daisy Jones & the Six is a new series airing on Amazon Prime Video. The 1970s soft rock mockumentary presents the titular band as if they were a real Fleetwood Mac-esque project. And yes, that means the series is stacked with all the nearly unbelievable romantic drama that comparison entails.
But not all of Daisy Jones is simply a retelling of the creation of an album like Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours. There’s an original story weaved around that inspiration, pulling from other famous musicians from the era. Actor Sebastian Chacon adds to the color of the series by taking his inspiration from a genre outside of rock entirely.

Chile’s hottest writer Julio Rojas (“The Life of Fish”) and Spain’s Goya-winning Belen Cuesta, who stars in “The Endless Trench” and the “Balenciaga” series, are attached to “La Torca del Diablo,” a sci-fi thriller from Chile’s Canal 13 and Spanish producer Miguel Asensio of Tiki Group.
A client of former CinemaChile head Constanza Arena’s new talent agency and project incubator, Agencia La Luz, Rojas created and wrote “Case 63,” Spotify’s leading scripted original podcast in Latin America, with an English-language version in development, starring Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac. He also co-wrote Pablo Fendrik’s Latino sci-fi series “The Shelter,” among other notable credits.
“The film will be shot in Spain and is aimed squarely at the Spanish market,” said Canal 13’s Matías Ovalle, head of scripted content and executive producer, who conceived the storyline with Rojas. Film is part of Canal 13’s international development and...
