- By the age of 12, Meine held regional and national swimming titles in the AAU in the 50 meter backstroke; her relay team was no. 1 in the nation. Meine was replaced on her team by friend and future Olympian, Donnalee Wennerstrom later that same year.
- While they were producing "SHAG" (1989), Meine lobbied her bosses to hire choreographer Kenny Ortega.
- Meine taught advanced Film History at California State Universty at Northridge as an Adjunct Professor while she was a grad student in UCLA's M.F.A. Screenwriting program.
- Meine was honored to meet composer Henry Mancini while directing son Chris in a music video - but later the senior Mancini's lucky piano stool was somehow lost on-set.
- Meine is thanked in the liner notes of "The Runaways Live In Japan" LP (1977) as "A.M"; she was friendly with the Currie sisters and other band members; Meine toured with the band for a few days when they opened for the Ramones (while playing hokey from Cal Prep High School in Encino, CA).
- Meine worked as a script reader/story analyst for various film companies from Lionsgate to HBO while she was an undergrad and in grad school.
