Shahene Nahele Ray is an actress, born Shahene Nahele Wray on November 16 in Runaway Bay, Jamaica and raised in Atlanta, Georgia to Maureen Yee, a critical care nurse and Leando Wray, an entrepreneur and politician. Her father was Jamaican and her mother is Jamaican/black and Chinese decent. Shahene first came into the spotlight when she placed in her first pageant, the Miss Figure pageant; placing in other pageants. After participating in pageants, Shahene became a model. It eventually led to her first TV commercial, Bacardi. She soon gained a passion for acting and writing, taking Performance Arts/Literature classes in college while tackling acting and dancing classes on the weekends. It has paid off, landing her roles in commercials and television shows, including Tyler Perry's All The Queen's Men (2022). Though, Ray enjoys acting, she divides her time between writing and producing.
