High school can be a radically different experience for both boys and girls, and a now film is set to look at how that experience affects friendships and the growing-up process.
Titled Girls Lost, the film is the third feature from Swedish filmmaker Alexandra-Therese Keining, and her first since 2011. Keining once again takes on both directing and screenplay writing duties, adapting the story from Jessica Schiefauer’s 2011 novel Pojkarna (The boys). Emrik Öhlander, Tuva Jagell, and Wilma Holmén take on the lead roles.
The film’s synopsis is as follows.
Three outcast teenage girls get a new perspective on high-school life when they are mysteriously transformed into boys, in this skillfully crafted tale of sexual confusion with a supernatural twist.
