Jim's involvement in the entertainment field began at the age of 12, when he assisted the DJ's at his hometown radio station, and by 14, he had his own Saturday morning radio show. In the early to late-90's, he was the Operations Manager and Concert Production Manager at the National Music Center, where he produced concerts by Arlo Guthrie, Bela Fleck & The Flecktones, Bill Monroe & His Bluegrass Boys, Buddy Guy, David Byrne, Duncan Sheik, Emmylou Harris, Jim Brickman, Jose Feliciano, Los Lobos, Shawn Colvin, Tony Trischka, among many others; master classes by Randy Weston and Phil Ramone; and festivals/events including the Berkshire Music Festival, An Evening With Dick Clark, and the 15th Anniversary Radio Special of WAMC's Hudson River Sampler.
From the late 70's to the mid-2000's, Jim engineered and produced recordings by JiNormUs, Marc Del Greco, Randy Weston, Robby Baier, SkinnyOneFat, TrueDementia, the Bible Cult Project, and The VOID. From the mid-90's to mid-2000's he managed the careers of recording artists: Robby Baier, The Patiokings and SkinnyOneFat. Over the last decade, he has worked on projects by TV/Film Director/Producer Norman Anderson, most recently on his documentary about the Red Cross Donut Dollies of the Vietnam War. In 2015, Jim completed editing of the short film, Meet Me at a Funeral, starring Zoe Kim and Harold Perrineau.
