Sarah Palarczyk is a German actress, voice actor, and writer with Polish roots, based in Berlin, Germany. She is fluent in English and German, skilled in French, has basic knowledge of Polish, and is interested in working on projects in these languages.
Sarah is best known for her performances as a Leading Actress in "The Shadow Hour" (2021), "Hotel Mondial" (2022-23), and "End-80" (2020). She was nominated for the 'German Cinema New Talent Award' as Best Actor at the 2021 Filmfest Munich and for the 'New Berlin Film Award' as Best Actress at the 2021 Achtung Berlin Film Festival. She received both nominations for her leading role in the ' First-Steps-Award winning feature film "The Shadow Hour".
Sarah is driven by stories of strong-minded, torn, or fallen women and rebellious or villain-like characters. She feels most comfortable in genres such as drama, historical/period drama, and thriller, and is particularly drawn to the unique aesthetics of indie film.
Sarah is a passionate storyteller who is drawn to the surreal and unsettling and enjoys exploring the depths of the human psyche. She is especially interested in telling empowering stories and shedding light on the challenges of fighting against different systems.
Sarah studied acting at the 'Academy of Performing Arts Baden-Württemberg' in Ludwigsburg, graduated in 2020, and has since then kept on training with a focus on the 'Meisner Technique' and the 'Chubbuck Technique'. Her most influential teachers included, among others, Béla Tarr, Mike Bernardin, Christian Schwochow, Kai Ivo Baulitz, Florian Gottschick, and Kai Wessel.
Since 2021 she has been writing plays alone and in co-authorship, one of which was already successfully premiered in 2021. As a screenwriter since early 2023, she is in the developing process of her first feature film which she also plans to direct.
Sarah is interested in working in film, streaming, and TV productions across the UK, US, Canada, France, and Germany.
