- His 10 favorite films are the six Star Wars films (particularly Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977)), Jaws (1975), The Dark Knight Trilogy (Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012)), Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Reservoir Dogs (1992), The Godfather Trilogy (particularly The Godfather (1972)), Taxi Driver (1976), Scarface (1983), Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) and The Silence of the Lambs (1991).
- Is an avid fan of Hip-Hop. His favorite rappers are Eminem, Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Rakim, Tech N9ne, Proof, Ice Cube, Ice-T and Busta Rhymes.
- Wignall's favorite actors to him that he looks to for inspiration are Gary Oldman, Ewan McGregor, Christian Bale, Peter O'Toole, Peter Sellers, Alec Guinness, Tim Roth, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Roy Scheider, Michael Caine and Anthony Hopkins. Some of Wignall's favorite actress' include Audrey Hepburn, Rooney Mara, Emma Stone, Anne Hathaway, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer and Zoe Saldana.
- Is an avid fan of Comic Books. His favorite superhero/comic book character is Batman.
- Has been able to change his voice into different characters since he was a kid. He also developed certain mannerisms from the characters he imitated and has been able to make his own characters as a result.
- His favorite Filmmakers are George Lucas, Christopher Nolan, Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, Steven Spielberg, Alfred Hitchcock, Francis Ford Coppola, Ridley Scott, Clint Eastwood, Tim Burton, Joel Coen, Ethan Coen and James Rolfe.
- Fan of film composer John Williams. Williams is his favorite film composer. He has once said, he's seen films that weren't very good, but when noting the music he liked it. When it's revealed in the credits John Williams composed the score, Wignall knew there was a reason he liked the music in said film.
- Is of French, Welsh, German and Irish descent.
- He makes sure that he is in every film he writes, as he writes a character for himself. The reason is he loves acting and wants to be in the projects he creates on paper. He'll even go as far as not letting anyone buy and/or direct a script he's written unless he is guaranteed to play the character he wrote for himself. However, when he's directing and/or producing a film he wrote, he obviously doesn't have a problem with guaranteeing a part for himself.
- His father, Michael Wignall, died July 16th, 1996, when he was 2 years old.
- Had open heart surgery when he was a few days old. The scar goes down his chest and has become thinner as he's gotten older.
- He and Brett Boothe are childhood friends.
- Wignall was inspired by many voice actors growing up, particularly from the 1994 cult TV series Space Ghost Coast to Coast (1993). Some of the most prominent voice actors that inspire Wignall are George Lowe, C. Martin Croker, Andy Merrill, Mel Blanc, Dave Willis, Gary Owens, Don Kennedy, Dana Snyder, Carey Means, Don Messick, Dan Castellaneta, Mike Judge, Seth Green, Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer.
- Recipient of the Best Short Film Award in 2010 by the Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festival, for How to Use a Universal Remote (2010) with Dalton Viggers, Cody Warren, Aaron Wylie.
