I'm an Italian Production Designer and Art Director.
I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome with a thesis about Pier Paolo Pasolini.
While I was working on my thesis, I met the production designer Igor Gabriel - a long-time collaborator of Dardenne Brothers - who was scouting locations in Rome to make a movie about Pier Paolo Pasolini's life. I knew the topic very well, so I gave an important contribution to recreate the set of "Pier Paolo's house" and "Pier Paolo's studio", taking part of the movie as an assistant art director.
This is how I started to work in film industry such as set designer, assistant art director for movies and TV series for the major networks and Italian productions.
I have collaborate with many established and award-winning production designers, alongside directors such as Abel Ferrara, Michele Soavi, Steven Zaillian.
Working with many different artists and professionals - and having many different responsibilities - gave me great awareness and experience.
My best skill is making set in studios, but I also love looking for locations and modifying existing sites to set the stories. It is so magical to find a link between reality and fiction, to find and change the meaning of places.
