It used to be that you could find 50 Cent in da club with a bottle full of bub’. Now, you can find 50 Cent on a poster for The Expendables 4, looking like the sort of hack Photoshop job that we’ve all gotten used to – all of us except Curtin Jackson, that is.
After seeing his character poster for The Expendables 4, 50 Cent took to social media, posting on Instagram, “Wtf did we run out of money? Why my head look like it ain’t connected to my body. I bet they are gonna make @officialslystallone look great. Smh” Taking a look at the slew of character posters, yeah, Stallone does look pretty badass…We wouldn’t mind hearing from Megan Fox on the matter, though…

Sylvester Stallone has been a fixture of pop culture for some 50 years, and it began with "Rocky," one of Hollywood's biggest success stories. That is not hyperbole. Stallone wrote a script that took him from obscurity and made him an Oscar-nominated actor and writer with instant star power and a few million in the bank.
Hopes were high for Stallone. Roger Ebert, for instance, wrote that the young actor reminded him of Marlon Brando, who had played a journeyman fighter in "On The Waterfront." However, thanks to mindless vanity pieces like "Cobra" and "Rambo: First Blood Part II," it wouldn't be long before such a comparison was viewed with derision.
Still, people shouldn't forget what made Stallone a success from 1976 to 1982, during which he proved himself as an actor of intelligence, naturalism, and heart. A mixture of ego and '80s commercialism reoriented his dramatic foundation throughout the rest of the decade,...

With Rambo: Last Blood due to hit cinemas September 2019 and a rumoured fourth entry in the Expendables franchise in the works, Sylvester Stallone may be 73, but he is not showing no signs of slowing down. The latest sequel from Stallone, Escape Plan 3 is the third film in the series and the second to get a limited theatrical with a home release.
This may be an unexpected sequel as Escape Plan 2: Hades (2018) was met with disappointment by fans and critics, with Stallone himself also making a public statement on Instagram describing it as, “the worst produced film I have ever had the misfortune to be in”. There are several areas in which Hades could have been improved, but one of the the biggest issues was the limited screen time for the film’s main headlined stars. Stallone being the main draw and was given a cameo role and used as...

Sylvester Stallone is not mincing words when it comes to what he thinks was his worst movie of all.
The Creed II actor, 72, shared a video on himself and director Jon Herzfeld to Instagram, where he compliments the director on his work on their latest film Escape Plan 3: The Extractors. However, Stallone clarified that their prior film, Escape Plan 2, wasn’t exactly a favorite of his.

Escape Plan 3: The Extractors, directed by John Herzfeld, is the third and final film in the not so good Escape Plan franchise that began in 2013 with a team-up of Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, and has somehow become a franchise and ended up receiving two direct-to-dvd ensembles with a cast of unknowns, and even weaker narratives. Shot back-to-back with the horrid and Stallone vacant second instalment Escape Plan 2: Hades, yet are both directed by two different directors, completes what is a disaster of a trilogy. The Extractors, thankfully, has nothing in common, in fact has Zero connections to, its predecessor. Yet strangely acts as a direct sequel of sorts to the initial film released in 2013, confused yet? In the predictable third instalment of this martial arts franchise, Sly heads for Latvia to bust a Chinese heiress out of prison
The latest instalment in this (relatively) low-budget martial arts and machismo franchise anchored to Sylvester Stallone’s protagonist Ray Breslin further dilutes the ingredients that made the first film, Escape Plan, and to a lesser extent its sequel moderately interesting.
In the earlier films, there was a geeky interest in problem-solving and puzzles threaded through the usual fisticuffs, gun play and grunting as Breslin and his cronies, including Dave Bautista and 50 Cent, sought to break hostages or compatriots out of highly secure prisons. This time round, they work out that captured Chinese tech heiress Daya Zhang (Melise), Breslin’s girlfriend Abby (Jaime King) and others are being held in a black-site prison in Latvia just by spotting an icon and some Cyrillic lettering on a wall – and,...

Last week, I got to interview Devon Sawa about his role in the film Escape Plan: The Extractors. We delved into the role and his experiences, his upcoming films, and I got to gush a bit about my childhood crush on him. It was a great time. Check out the interview below:
Jessica Fisher: Hi, I’m Jessica Fisher from GeekTyrant, and I just have to say that twelve year old me is beside herself right now. I’m a big fan from way back., especially Now and Then.
Devon Sawa: Thank you so much. And you know what? That’s exactly how twelve year old me felt filming this movie with Sylvester Stallone. Not that I’m anything like Stallone. What I’m trying to say is thank you.
Jf: Of course! Do you still get a lot of women approach you who were young fans of yours.

For our first week of home media releases for the month of July, we are starting things off with a modest assortment of titles making their way to both Blu-ray and DVD this Tuesday. Vinegar Syndrome is showing some love to the gritty vampire flick Night Owl this week, and Rlje Films is unleashing Deadsight on both formats as well.
For those of you who dig action flicks, Escape Plan: The Extractors hits both Blu and DVD on Tuesday, and be sure to check out We Have Always Lived in the Castle, which is an adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s haunting novel.
Other releases for July 12th include Robert Reborn, High Moon, Soul Reaper, and Nightmare Shark.

Devon Sawa, the actor from films such as Final Destination, Idle Hands, and Slc Punk, takes on the lead villainous role in the new Escape Plan movie, Escape Plan: The Extractors, and he’s coming after Sylvester Stallone to get some good old fashioned revenge.
I’ve always liked Sawa, and it’s great to see him land a solid role in a cool-looking action movie! I actually liked what I saw in this trailer! Just in case you forgot, yes… there is a third Escape Plan movie that has been made. It’s called Escape Plan: The Extractors and the first trailer for it has dropped!
Sylvester Stallone returns to reprise his role as security expert Ray Breslin and this time… it’s personal. The actor will be joined by Dave Buatista, Jaimie King, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson on his next mission which is set in a hell hole of a prison. Here’s the synopsis that was shared for the film:
After security expert Ray Breslin (Stallone) is hired to rescue the kidnapped daughter of a Hong Kong tech mogul from a formidable Latvian prison, Breslin’s girlfriend (JKing) is also captured. Now he and his team, which includes Dave Bautista and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, must pull off a deadly rescue mission to confront their sadistic foe and save the hostages before time runs out.

"What's going down?" Lionsgate has debuted the first teaser trailer for action sequel Escape Plan: The Extractors, the third movie in the Escape Plan series. Same as the second movie, Escape Plan 3 is being released direct-to-vod/DVD continuing the action-heist-prison break movie series which first started with Escape Plan in 2013 (directed by Mikael Håfström; this one did actually open in theaters). I don't know how they keep convincing him to come back, but Sylvester Stallone stars again as Ray Breslin, the masterful prison escape artist / "security expert", who gets really upset when his girlfriend is kidnapped. The plot also involves a Hong Kong tech mogul's daughter being taken, and so Breslin gets his old team back to get them out and home safely. Also starring Dave Bautista, Jaime King, Harry Shum Jr., Devon Sawa, Daniel Bernhardt, Malese Jow, Curtis Jackson, and Russell Wong. I couldn't care any less about this series.

After making brief appearances in both The Expendables and The Expendables 2, the thought of Arnold Schwarzenegger properly teaming up with Sylvester Stallone in Escape Plan was a welcome thought. However, when he finds himself in a top-secret prison with no hope of escape, he's forced to enlist the help of fellow prisoner Emil Rottmayer (Schwarzenegger). Escape Plan…...

2013′s Escape Plan was, despite the hype behind the double header of the appearance of Stallone and Schwarzenegger together, something of an underwhelming action flick. Dave Bautista and 50 Cent appear alongside Sylvester Stallone in this lurid sequel, but the true star is Xiaoming Huang as Sly’s heir apparent
This is a sequel to the 2013 action-thriller Escape Plan, which buddied up Sylvester Stallone with Arnold Schwarzenegger in a prison breakout plotline. It hews roughly to the original recipe’s mix of geeky puzzle-making, blurrily shot martial-arts time killing and slightly baffling casting without improving the blend. Indeed, everything seems watered down and attenuated, creating a strangely stupefying product. The story barely makes sense, but after soon you stop caring and surrender to the blur of darkened sets with neon-bright spots of colour, electronic mood music and mumbled technobabble for dialogue.
The idea is that Stallone’s Ray Breslin, hero of Escape Plan, is a security consultant who specialises in working out how to burrow out of prisons. Seemingly, in the last few years, he...

Truth be told many people were not clamouring for a sequel to the 2013 prison break actioner Escape Plan, which is not the most memorable entry in its genre but was a tough throwback to the ‘80s and ‘90s and famed as the first full feature teaming (save for their brief scenes in The Expendables franchise) of action icons Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The film was effective, boasted some great action, performances and a generous cast, so hopefully a sequel could at least offer some more fun right? Oh so wrong!
Schwarzenegger wisely sidesteps a sequel which bares a few worrying signs that all is not well, including the fact it was shot and then shelved, only attaining a home video release in the States and that a third film is already filmed and on the way! Escape Plan 2 is a sequel that tries and fails to go bigger and forgets to go better.

Fans rejoice. Take a deep breath and exhale. The sequel we’ve all been waiting for is only a few months away. I know you know we’re talking Escape Plan 2: Hades. Sylvester Stallone returns for the sequel, which finds his character Ray Breslin breaking In to a prison rather than breaking Out. Sly will be joined by franchise newcomer Dave Bautista. Bautista’s muscles fill in for Arnold Schwarzenegger, who will not be returning.
In all seriousness, the reason I like movies like this is because it doesn’t pretend to be anything its not. Either you like these silly action movies or you don’t. While I don’t necessarily always feel like watching something like this, occasionally it’s great. Like any junk food it must be consumed in moderation.

Sylvester Stallone is back for another impossible prison break in the first trailer for Escape Plan 2: Hades and this time he's enlisted the help of Dave Bautista. This whole story focuses on busting out a friend who has been locked away in one of the most brutal, secret, and secure prisons on the planet, which is called Hades. Here's the synopsis:
Years after he fought his way out of an inescapable prison, Ray Breslin has organized a new top-notch security force. But when one of his team members goes missing, Breslin must return to the hell he once escaped from to save his friend from the prison’s brutal human battleground known as Hades.

"This is bigger than any one of us." Up for another unwanted sequel to an action movie most people didn't see? Here you go. Lionsgate Premiere has debuted the first official trailer for Escape Plan 2: Hades, the direct-to-vod/DVD sequel to the action-heist-prison break movie Escape Plan from a few years ago (which I never even saw). Surprisingly, they somehow convinced Sylvester Stallone to return for this as Ray Breslin, who escape from an inescapable prison in the first movie (what an original plot). This sequel sees him in another inescapable techno-prison, surprise surprise, that is called "Hades". The film's ensemble cast features Dave Bautista, Jaime King, Wes Chatham, 50 Cent, Jesse Metcalfe, Baylee Curran, Lydia Hull, Ashley Cusato, and Vincent Young. This looks as bad (if not even worse) as it sounds, but it might be the kind of bargain bin entertainment that a few of you might need right now.
