- Marinus Kraus was born on 13 February 1991 in Oberaudorf, Bavaria. He is a professional ski jumper, who made his debut at the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup in January 2013 in Vikersund. The same year he achieved his best individual career result a 2nd place in Kuusamo. In 2014 made a 3rd place at the FIS Summer Grand Prix in Hinzenbach. Member of the German Olympic team for the Games in 2014 in Sochi, Kraus won a gold medal in the team large hill event alongside Severin Freund, Andreas Wank and Andreas Wellinger.
