Tubi has given the green light to a second season of its animated series, “The Freak Brothers” — its first-ever renewal of a show.
Featuring the voices of Woody Harrelson, John Goodman, Pete Davidson, Tiffany Haddish, Adam Devine, Blake Anderson, Andrea Savage, La La Anthony and Rapper ScHoolboy Q, the series — Tubi’s first animated original — is based on the comics from Gilbert Shelton.
“We’re thrilled to embark on another even more freaky trip with Adam Lewinson, Rachel Koehler and the fantastic teams at Tubi, Fox and Lionsgate. And we’re most excited for our fans to twist one up and enjoy Season Two,” executive producer Courtney Solomon, said in a statement.

Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen's Entertainment Studios, has acquired North American rights to the dramedy Pretty Broken. Pretty Broken debuts on VOD and will be available to rent and own on North American digital HD internet and satellite platforms through Freestyle Digital Media on March 1, 2019. Freestyle Digital Media has acquired domestic rights to Adam Cushman’s The Maestro, a biopic about composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco tarring The Walking Dead‘s Xander Berkeley. It will get a theatrical release beginning February 15 in New York and Los Angeles, with VOD coming February 19. The pic, penned by C.V. Herst and produced by David J. Phillips, centers on the letters of Castelnuovo-Tedesco, who composed scores for more than 200 Hollywood films in the 1940s and 1950s and mentored the likes of John Williams, Randy Newman, Henry Mancini, Jerry Goldsmith and Andre Previn. Leo Marks, Sarah Clarke, Mackenzie Astin, Bobby Campo, Alex Essoe and in his last film Jon Polito co-star. Exclusive: Freestyle Digital Media has obtained the North American distribution rights to road trip comedy film I Hate Kids, which will get a day-and-date release on January 18. Directed by John Asher (A Boy Called Po), the pic stars La La Land actor Tom Everett Scott, Emmy-nominated Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Tituss Burgess, Rachel Boston, Rhea Seehorn, and Julian Feder.
Todd Traina and Frank Dietz wrote the script. It follows Nick Pearson (Scott), the author of a best-selling comedic book, I Hate Kids, and former lothario, who is on the verge of marrying the woman of his dreams (Boston), who happens to share his disinterest for the child-rearing experience.
