Split-screen gameplay has always been a staple of the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi franchise, but fans are on the brink of kissing them goodbye. With several leaks suggesting the feature will be gone with the latest installment of the game, it appears like the latest change spotted by a fan may confirm the fact.
Each new leak is feeding the excitement of the fans, but this particular change may not come as a joyous moment for them. Previously, it was reported that it would include local multiplayer, thus keeping the hope for split screen alive. Fans are hoping that local multiplayer will still be a thing in the game.
Does That Mean Fans Should Not Expect Split Screen in The Game?
It appears like split-screens are gone for good from the game.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero developers appear to have fun playing with the fans, altering details again, and causing debate among the community.

Cowabunga, dudes. Paramount Pictures has announced that the still-untitled sequel to last year's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" has locked in a release date. Mark your calendars for October 9, 2026, and plan accordingly. The date was confirmed by the studio in addition to several other moves on Paramount's release schedule over the next couple of years.
This might be seen as a bit of a good news/bad news situation. The good news is that Paramount is moving full-steam ahead on the sequel, which had previously been confirmed. The bad news is that 2026 is a lot longer than many fans likely want to wait. That said, it's good that director Jeff Rowe and the rest of the creative team aren't being rushed here. "Mutant Mayhem" was widely regarded as one of the best "Tmnt" movies ever -- if not the best (read /Film's 9 out of 10 review right here). Preserving...

Tekken 8 has already sold a couple of million copies globally, surpassing the sales expectations of Bandai Namco. Interestingly the numbers came out to be a savior, to some extent, given the underperformance of their Mmo game Blue Protocol. The numbers generated by the popular fighting game hopefully did set off the potential losses. Now as the game is probably adding microtransactions, it remains to be seen how the new feature will perform.
Nonetheless, fans are clinging to the hope that the game won’t be putting hefty price labels so they can afford and enjoy it without going on the edge. The franchise has, to this date, sold 55 Million copies globally with Tekken 7 passing with flying colors, having sold over 10 Million copies. Bandai Namco would want to continue with this success with the latest game in the franchise which is possible when fans aren’t upset with their endeavors.

There’s many a film out there which trades on nostalgia for the last innocent summers of childhood, before the responsibilities of adult life set in – a time for playing with friends, enjoying the simple pleasures that the world has to offer. This Oscar-shortlisted short documentary by Justine Martin makes use of the visual language of that type of work, but touches on something different, more meaningful, as it explores the story of twin brothers Raphaël and Rémi.
This is a summer for fooling around on mopeds, hanging out at the skate park, catching frogs in waterlily-studded streams using small plastic nets. The trees are in full leaf, the grass is long and lush. They go out on the lake on a paddleboard and Raph falls in. There is laughter and warmth is the golden sunshine.
Twins don’t always look alike, but viewers won’t take long to start wondering why Raph is.

Don't let anyone tell you differently: 2023 was one helluva year for the movies.
Even as the industry struggles to recover in the wake of pandemic that nearly torpedoed everything, and even as reliable franchises started to sputter a bit, the past 12 months proved that movies have, if you'll allow us to break out the old cliche, never been better. Two of the biggest studio releases of the year were as thrilling as anything we've ever seen in a multiplex. More than a few animated movies pushed their mediums forward in dramatic ways. Comedies got weirder and more personal. Horror got more raw and experimental. And some of the most reliable names in Hollywood history once again produced masterpieces.

Back in the 1990s, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" was all the rage. Thanks to the hit animated series and feature film franchise, the heroes in a half-shell became one of the biggest pop culture sensations of the decade, sparking various imitators like "Biker Mice from Mars" and "Street Sharks." But there was no beating Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, especially when it came to the expansive action figure line from Playmates.
On top of the standard versions of all four turtles, as well as their adoptive father Splinter and primary villains Shredder, Krang, Rocksteady, and Bebop, Playmates released an eclectic array of villains along with a bunch of goofy variations on Leo, Donny, Raph, and Mikey. Michelangelo as a birthday clown? Done. Donatello as a cowboy from the Wild West? Yup. Raphael as an astronaut? You know it. Leonardo as a hockey player?...

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have endured in the pop culture consciousness for well over 30 years now, in no small part thanks to the '80s animated TV show and, perhaps more importantly, the wildly successful 1990 blockbuster live-action "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" film. Directed by Steve Barron, that movie was truly the point of no return. The Turtles became superstars and, arguably, for a time, the most popular superheroes in North America. But things could have been quite different if an early pitch for a film adaptation had been received more warmly.
/Film's Ben Pearson recently spoke with "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" co-creator Kevin Eastman in honor of the home video release of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem." During the conversation, Eastman recalled a pitch from none other than B-movie maestro Roger Corman in the '80s for a low-budget movie featuring Donnie, Leo, Raph, and Mikey. The craziest part?...

The prospect of making a grounded "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" film sounds decidedly counterintuitive to the very concept of the franchise. Yet, that's exactly what director Steve Barron did with the Turtles' first-ever live-action film, and with flying colors no less. It's honestly kind of a miracle how real so much of Barron's 1990 "Tmnt" movie feels. Yes, there are human-sized anthropomorphic turtles skateboarding and snacking on pizza in its sewers, yet the film's depiction of New York City is believably scuzzy and lived-in.
Then there are the four heroes in a half-shell themselves, who are brought to life by incredibly textured and emotive animatronic suits designed by the magicians at Jim Henson's Creature Shop. Most importantly for a film with the word "Ninja" in the title, they're able to convincingly perform martial arts in action scenes that are far more exhilarating and visceral than the relatively weightless tussles...

Even though "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" brings in a plethora of characters from the long history of comics, cartoons, and movies (including many of which who have never been seen on the big screen before), there's one major figure who has been intentionally held back: Shredder.
The news of Shredder not being in "Mutant Mayhem" isn't exactly a secret. Director Jeff Rowe was very open in the press about how Shredder was originally the villain in an early version of the movie, but he and his team ended up completely overhauling the story and saving him for the forthcoming sequel. Plus, all the marketing has been focused on introducing us to Ice Cube as Superfly, who leads his own team of mutants on a villainous scheme to dominate humanity by turning all the world's creatures into mutant beings like them. Who could have guessed that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s small, black-and-white indie comic about anthropomorphic crime-fighting turtles that began as a parody of superhero storytelling would not only be around forty years later but also have the love and investment of several generations of fans? Whether you discovered the Turtles through the toys, the various TV shows, or the movies, audiences have been lucky enough to have at least one defining iteration of these heroes.
Alongside Batman and Spider-Man, the Turtles have had the most consistent luck with their onscreen history. And this week, the Heroes in Half-Shells are back on the big screen for the latest reboot, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. To celebrate, The Hollywood Reporter has definitively ranked the theatrical Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies from the most bogus to the most bodacious.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem director Jeff Rowe has pulled off an increasingly rare feat, as his latest entry in the Turtles franchise has been extremely well-received by both critics and audiences.
Rowe was the co-director on Mike Rianda’s Oscar-nominated The Mitchells vs. the Machines, and producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller highly recommended him to Mutant Mayhem producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg before Mitchells was even released. Rowe and Rogen quickly bonded over films such as Jurassic Park (1993), and so they were off and running on the three-year project.
Naturally, in a post-Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) world, comparisons between the two New York City films were inevitable, but Rowe sees it less from a stylistic standpoint and more from a spiritual one. Spider-Verse gave Mutant Mayhem license to take more chances, opting for a more rough-around-the-edges look.

The heroes in a half-shell have had quite the break away from the big screen but now they're back as "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" has hit theaters. It's early, but in the early running, it very much looks like this is going to be one of the big surprises of 2023. Critics have widely embraced the movie thus far (read our review here), with audiences catching on in a hurry. While the movie that exists ended up being an absolute home run, it was a painstaking process to make it so. Particularly because the original draft was a broken mess relatively late into production.

This post contains spoilers for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem."
From its inception, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" was a malleable franchise, one that has never stopped being reinvented. After being introduced in a dark and gritty comic book, an homage and parody of superhero comics of the time, the Turtles became toys and their design and story changed. The same would happen once the Turtles made the jump to animation in the '80s, with a cartoon that introduced new characters, new personalities, backstories, and more. Since then, each new iteration of the "Tmnt" has changed things, like when Shredder became an alien, or the first time Splinter went from being a pet rat to a human turned into a rat.
As much as things change, some things stay the same, like the relationship between the Turtles and Splinter or the look of the Turtles. They've always sort of looked the same,...

Mikey, Donnie, Leo, and Raph in Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies’ ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem’
The pizza-eating, ninja-fighting, socially awkward teenage turtles are back on the big screen in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, a fresh, new adventure that reboots the popular animated franchise.
The film begins by showing how the attempted arrest and collection of a mad scientist and his experimental mutant pet leads to green experimental ooze seeping down into the sewers of New York. The ooze infects four young turtles and a rat named Splinter (voiced by Jackie Chan), transforming them into nearly human-size mutants who can talk and have intelligence.
Splinter adopts the young turtles and names them Michelangelo (voiced by Shamon Brown Jr.), Donatello (Micah Abbey), Leonardo (voiced by Nicolas Cantu), and Raphael (voiced by Brady Noon). The overprotective adoptive father fears humans and the outside world and keeps his turtles safe in his sewer home.

One night, two struggling cartoonists had what turned out to be a billion-dollar idea. What if Frank Miller’s Daredevil had human-sized turtles in it? From that question came the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a quartet of brothers named after Renaissance artists who fought the Shredder and his Foot Clan (a spoof of perpetual Daredevil baddies the Hand). Who could have guessed that the self-published comic Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird created would launch a phenomenon, one that survived its first boom in the late ‘80s and crash in the mid-1990s? It has since gone on to become an enduring pop culture franchise which is still going strong after several decades. Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael have leaped out of the sewers and into every type of media, including video games and toys. Nonetheless, the characters are never more exciting than when they hit the big screen.

The summer movie season isn't over yet, and we've got some heroes in a half-shell coming our way to try and make a splash late in the game. Paramount Pictures is gearing up to release "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" next week, giving the animated take on Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's beloved comic book creations a mid-week release to get a jump on the competition. That competition, in this case, is "Meg 2: The Trench," an R-rated shark flick seemingly going for a very different crowd. The question is, can this "Tmnt" reboot do for the turtles what "Into the Spider-Verse" did for Spider-Man?
Box Office Pro currently has director Jeff Rowe's "Mutant Mayhem" taking in anywhere between $27 and $36 million over the weekend, with a take of $37 to $49 million in the cards for the five-day, Wednesday to Sunday stretch. Meanwhile, "Meg 2" is eyeing a similar $26 to $35 million take.

It’s a sign of how bullish the studio is feeling about “Mutant Mayhem,” an animated adventure that opens theatrically on August 2. Master Splinter tells Raphael that he has “bravery,” which is a positive spin on Raph’s declaration that he “dreams of fighting every night.” He’s got a rage problem but sometimes you need a little of that in the family. Raphael is the big brother of the Turtles and very loyal to all of them, even if his aggression gets in the way sometimes. As the original theme song says, he’s cool but crude. Despite that his good heart shines through. Raph wants to experience life as a human, imagining what it might be like to go to high school, instead of living as a mutant outcast.
Brady Noon has previously worked with Mutant Mayhem producer and writer Seth Rogen on the coming-of-age comedy film, Good Boys, where he played the role of Thor. Before that he came to prominence with...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem brings back the iconic reptilian quadruplets for another wild adventure in the animated world of New York City. But for this story, director Jeff Rowe and writers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Dan Hernandez, Benji Samit, and Rowe himself bring two new ideas to the screen: casting actual teenagers as the Turtles themselves and applying their own unique spin on the current trend of stylized, exaggerated visuals, jump-started by Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and continued with Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and The Mitchells vs. The Machines, which Rowe also co-wrote and co-directed.
Still, there’s a plethora of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles visions out there: several comics, more than five different TV shows, and six movies, not to mention the churn of toys and merchandise that have spawned from Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s original creation.

“Oasis” was selected as a finalist in this year’s ShortList Film Festival, presented by TheWrap. You can watch the films and vote for your favorite here.
Justine Martin’s short film, “Oasis,” is a deeply personal story on multiple levels. On the one hand, it’s an intimate look at the life of two twin brothers, Raphael and Remi Cormier, as they take a trip to the woods; the one place in their life where Raph’s disability isn’t the focus.
But for Martin, specifically, this was an opportunity to showcase the lives of two young men she knew personally. “I was their babysitter when I was young,” Martin told TheWrap. “When they were younger the distance between them was less visible…Meeting them again I saw that a distance was created, because they are 14, so teenage years. It’s not easy to deal with all the external...

If you're a fan of the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," then you are familiar with The Suits. You know the ones. They made their first appearance in the 1990 film directed by Steve Barron. Created by Jim Henson and his Creature Shop, these giant anthropomorphic turtle costumes have become synonymous with the Tmnt brand. They are uniquely bulky and completely cover the actor's body, including their head. On screen, they appear as if they would be rubbery to the touch, and if you think about what it must be like to actually wear one of the costumes yourself, you might start to get claustrophobic, sweaty, or both. They are the thing that makes the '90s film trilogy so memorable because they predate CGI and are all about good old fashioned costuming and puppeteering. Depending on who you ask, people either love or hate their unique look.

Some might think a story about a group of discarded baby turtles who turn into kick-ass fighting ninjas might be a bit of a stretch. After all, turtles, by all accounts, are slow, so how could one ever believe they could figure out how to use nunchaku? However, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird proved that this idea is actually brilliant with the creation of their insanely popular comic about four turtles who master the art of ninjutsu and use their fighting techniques to keep New York City streets safe. Since the release of the first comic book in 1984, Donnie, Raph, Mikey, and Leo have become pop culture icons, and their story has endured through multiple generations of children. Fans have seen everything from very good television adaptations to extremely questionable movie adaptations, but perhaps one of the most memorable iterations of the Turtles came in...
