“America’s Got Talent” concluded the semi-final phase of its unconventional season 15 on Tuesday with the first of two semifinal performance shows and on Wednesday with the results of that show based on audience votes. In this semi-finals round, 11 acts per night performed for the judges. On the September 15 live show, judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara were alone on the panel while Simon Cowell remained absent while recovering from surgery.

After just seven episodes, the “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” ends with the results finale on February 17 that will see the season 2 winner crowned. Over the course of five audition episodes, 40 acts from around the world performed, vying for one of 10 places in the final, which aired on Feb. 10.
There were three ways to make the Top 10: be the Golden Buzzer pick of one of the four judges; win the most votes in each episode from the superfans and studio audiences at the tapings last fall; or be saved by the judges.

Magic is back on Broadway for the fourth holiday season, as the Vegas-style revue The Illusionists – Magic Of The Holidays returns for its annual razzle dazzle. Newly-minted “America’s Got Talent” winner Shin Lim will make his Broadway debut this November as part of the “The Illusionists” holiday-themed show, the group announced Thursday.
The 26-year-old magician will be featured in “The Illusionists — Magic of the Holidays,” which will have a run at New York City’s Marquis Theatre from Friday, Nov. 23 through Sunday, Dec. 30.
In addition to Lim, the line-up for the “The Grand Illusionist” Darcy Oake; “The Futurist” Adam Trent; “The Deductionist” Colin Cloud; “The Sorceress” Chloé Crawford; and another group of “America’s Got Talent” finalists, Light Balance.

“The Illusionists” is a touring magic show with a rotating line-up, featuring a mixture of illusions, close-up magic, mentalism, escape acts, and technological spectacle. Simon Painter serves as creative producer for the show, with Tim Lawson as executive producer and Neil Dorward directing.
