Douglas Wicker was born in rural Missouri, with nothing to do, his love for films became an escape. Eventually, he was able to transition his career into commercial directing and photography full-time while still continuing to tell the stories that he believes in.
He has directed Microwave (2014), which was released by Bloody-Disgusting as part of the World of Death series, Bang the Drum: The Life and Death of a Small Town Music Scene (2019), which was selected for St. Louis Filmmaker's Showcase, and the horror-suspense short film What Happened to The Others? (2022.)
