“RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 concluded on April 19 with the sixteenth episode in RuPaul’s quest to find “America’s next drag superstar.” Vying for the crown in the “Grand Finale” were three finalists: New York’s Nymphia Wind, Boston’s Plane Jane, and Philadelphia’s Sapphira Cristál.
Previously in episode 15, the eliminated queens returned to compete in a first ever “LipSync Lalaparuza Smackdown – Reunited” episode. In a nine-lip sync tournament, Morphine Love Dion came out on top as the ultimate lip sync assassin of the season and was named “Queen of She Already Done Had Hereses” with a $50,000 cash prize.
In this week’s final episode, Nymphia, Jane and Sapphira all perform an original number and then a third place finisher is determined. Additionally, the previously eliminated queens walk the runway once more and Miss Congeniality is named. Then, the last two standing compete in one final, title-earning Lip Sync...

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 continued on February 2 with the fifth episode in RuPaul’s quest to find “America’s next drag superstar.” Previously in episode four, Plasma served up a perfect Barbra Streisand and sang her way to a challenge win in “Rdr Live!,” while Geneva Karr found herself in the bottom for a second straight week. Though not quite a “lip sync assassin” yet, Geneva was able to best Mirage in the Lip Sync for Your Life. Mirage, who had admittedly not known the lyrics to the song, left in tears with her sisters stirring in the emotions of her premature exit.
This week, the remaining 12 queens write and perform their own original verses as part of girl groups to three of RuPaul’s hits. Seated at the judges’ dais for episode 5 titled “Girl Groups” was Emmy winning host RuPaul Charles, longtime bestie Michelle Visage, recurring judge Ts Madison,...

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 continued on January 26 with the fourth episode in RuPaul’s quest to find “America’s next drag superstar.” Following two non-elimination premiere episodes Part 1 and Part 2, the girls walked in the “The Mother of All Balls” in episode 3 where Hershii LiqCour-Jeté served the three looks that wowed her peers and the judges the least. Hershii lost the Lip Sync for Your Life to a surprised-to-be-ranked-at-the-bottom Geneva Karr. The winner of the week was Nymphia Wind who created a look from scratch that was declared as one of the best in series herstory.
This week, Geneva, Nymphia and the remaining 11 queens get in their comedy gigs for a live, one-take acting challenge. Seated at the judges’ dais for episode 4 titled “Rdr Live!” was Emmy winning host RuPaul Charles, longtime bestie Michelle Visage, recurring judge Ross Matthews, and the original “Slayer” Sarah Michelle Gellar as the extra special guest.

Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Trixie Mattel recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s premiere episode, newly crowned “All Stars 8” champion Jimbo stops by for her first ever appearance on the recap series to share her light and humor with Trixie, as well as some honest opinions about the newest additions to the franchise. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.
In their recap of the episode, Trixie and Jimbo took a deep dive into Jimbo’s own experiences on her three runs of the series before taking home her own $200,000 prize before swapping reactions to the entrances of the new crop of American hopefuls. Based on their reactions, favorite first impressions went to Q, Sapphira Cristál and Dawn who Trixie had “no notes” for while they seemed most underwhelmed by Xunami Muse.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 kick started 2024 on January 5 with Part 1 of its two-part premiere. In this first episode, only one half of the new cast began the competition to begin “America’s next drag superstar” in two challenges: a photo shoot on RuPaul’s front porch and a talent extravaganza to show off their talent skills. But don’t get too comfortable because Ru threw in a “twystery” or two for the girlies as well.
Seated at the judges’ dais for episode 1 titled “Rate-a-Queen” was Emmy winning host RuPaul Charles, longtime bestie Michelle Visage, recurring judge Carson Kressley, and Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron as the extra special guest.
The seven queens introduced this week are: Amanda Tori Meating, Dawn, Mirage, Morphine Love Dion, Q, Sapphira Cristál, and Xunami Muse.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 kick started 2024 on January 5 with Part 1 of its two-part premiere on MTV. Airing concurrently with the main show is its tea-spilling, backstage-focused sister series “Untucked,” now in its 15th season. This season, the queens become judges of their sisters through the “Rate-a-Queen” twist that requires them to rank their competition from tops to bottoms each week.
In episode 1 of “Untucked,” the first seven queens to enter the competition reflected on the new twist, their performances in the “MTV Spring Break Talent Show” and prepared to cast their votes for the week.
Check out our full recap of the episode below:
This season the “Untucked Lounge” made its return, just as immunity did in the main show, instead of the queens gathering in the main Werk Room as in recent seasons. Once firmly planted on the couches, Morphine Love Dion admitted to being unhappy with how her...

Spoiler Alert: This contains spoilers from the “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 16.
Charlize Theron expressed her strong support for the drag community in her debut as a guest judge on the season premiere of MTV’s “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
In the opening episode of Season 16, the Oscar-winning actor and longtime LGBTQ told the queens that the groundswell of efforts to curb the rights of drag performers is driven by fear and ignorance.
“Given the climate in our country right now, there’s a lot of energy being put toward your community not existing. I truly believe that all of that is coming from a place of fear,” Theron told the contenders on the long-running competition series. “The beauty of what your community brings and the truth of who you are and represent will come out. Don’t give up.”
Contender Xuname Muse, daughter of Kandy Muse, praised Theron for speaking out.
