Sam is a company director and senior talent agent for actors and creatives, leading InterTalent's creatives division. He holds a 1st class BA in History from the University of Leeds, a result he considers lucky given his dedication to directing, producing, and performing musical theatre throughout his school and university years.
Sam's career journey began as a floor runner on ITV's Coronation Street before moving into TV casting, assisting Faye Styring at Emmerdale. James Orange gave him the opportunity to relocate to London as casting assistant on musical theatre productions such as An American In Paris (Dominion Theatre) and Strictly Ballroom (West Yorkshire Playhouse/Toronto).
His transition into agent life commenced as an assistant for Bronia Buchanan, followed by a move to Cole Kitchenn in 2016 to assist Oliver Thomson. Sam's career trajectory changed when he assumed the role of lead creatives agent at the rebranded InterTalent in February 2018, and he slowly expanded the roster to include a diverse and exciting array of actors. His service at the company culminated in his appointment as Company Director of InterTalent Actors & Creatives in 2024.
