Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!
Match #1: Braun Strowman def. Jd McDonagh The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In his first match back since his injury, Braun Strowman dismantled Jd McDonagh, chucking him around like a sack of flour. McDonagh tried chopping Strowman, leading to a vicious chop from The Monster of All Monsters. Despite a hobbled knee, Strowman was still able to take out McDonagh with the freight train clothesline. As Strowman was looking to put away McDonagh, Finn Bálor and Carlito tried to take out The Monster of All Monsters. This backfired as Strowman shook them off, hitting a Tilt-a-whirl Powerslam on McDonagh to win the match. After the match, McDonagh tried attacking with a steel chair, an enraged Strowman forced McDonagh, Bálor and Carlito to flee.

Match #1: Chad Gable def. Sami Zayn The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa unwilling to break rules to help him, Chad Gable sent them both to the back. As Gable continued to berate Dupri and Tozawa, Zayn took advantage to hit a Blue Thunder Bomb, but was unable to come up with the victory. Gable locked on the Ankle Lock to try and get the submission victory but Zayn was able to make it to the ropes. Screaming at Otis to help him, Otis was conflicted before deciding against helping his leader. Once again, Gable slapped Otis for his insubordination. With Otis irate, he clobbered Zayn behind the official’s back. Gable then took advantage...

Match #1: Queen of the Ring Quarterfinal Match – Iyo Sky def. Shayna Baszler The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
A renewal of an epic rivalry highlighted this Queen of the Ring Quarterfinal clash between Shayna Baszler and former WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky. Sky took out Baszler’s knee before hitting a superb moonsault from the the top rope onto Baszler outside the ring. Baszler looked to have Sky fading in the Kirifuda Clutch, but Sky booked her ticket to the semifinals after hitting the Over the Moonsault, somehow surviving the punishment of Baszler.

Welcome, one and all, to part two the second annual Nerdly WWE Top 50! I began this idea last year. Our version of such established ranking lists as the “Pwi 500” and the like, but just with WWE in mind. I mean, I watch other products and promotions, like Aew, New Japan, Ring of Honor and Nwa, but… sticking to one promotion, the promotion I tend to watch the most, makes sense, and makes this one-man-job a lot easier to do. This list will cover the last twelve months, from September 2019 until August of 2020.
Like last year, this will take into account work-rate, match-quality, visibility of the workers on television, their promo work, but also… and this is important to note, the way that they’ve been used. You see… there are men and women in WWE who, if they were used more often and booked in a more substantial manner, would...

Jack Gallagher Released by WWE As #SpeakingOut Movement Accuses Wrestling Stars Of Sexual Misconduct
Wrestling stars from several federations, including the WWE, are being accused of sexual misconduct in online forums. The movement, loosely organized under the hashtag #SpeakingOut, has already led to one wrestler having his contact terminated.
The WWE announced the release of wrestler Jack Gallagher (real name Oliver Claffey) shortly before this week’s Friday Night SmackDown aired on Fox. No reason was given, but Gallagher was the subject of an earlier online post that accused him of sexual assault.
The WWE issued a statement but did not directly address whether Gallagher was let go because of the misconduct allegations:
“Individuals are responsible for their own personal actions. WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, child abuse, and sexual assault. Upon arrest for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately suspended. Upon conviction for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately terminated. WWE’s ability to fine,...

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dark review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I’m writing this out of order, so I can say a bit about the numerous accusations of sexual misconduct (to put it very lightly) from wrestlers all over the world. Just because there are a plethora of deviants in wrestling, that doesn’t mean you have to quit wrestling or be ashamed to watch it, but it does mean that it’s gonna leave a bad taste in your mouth for a while. As many pigs as there are in wrestling, it would seem we also have many who are good people as well. Jordan Devlin may be a monster, but Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) seems to be a good man, by and large. Marty Scurll might be a scum-bag, but Jeff Hardy has a great reputation (his drug addiction...

Also, there are a shit-load of perverts who have been allegedly revealed, including Jim Cornette & Synn, Dave Lagana, Jordan Devlin & numerous others in Nxt UK and David Starr (along with Alberto Del Rio a few months back and Jay Lethal numerous times over the years). The stories are horrifying and include male and female victims. If you are reading this and have ever been abused, don’t hold that sh*t in. Say that sh*t so everybody can see it and it can’t be hidden anymore. Every time someone gets away with a crime, that leaves them available to hurt more people. Hell, if anyone ever felt like I had ever done anything to them, I’d want them...

Match #1: Kay Lee Ray & Jinny def. Piper Niven & Dani Luna The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In the opening matchup, Nxt UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray joined forces with Jinny against Piper Niven and up-and-comer Dani Luna. In the final moments, The Fashionista neutralized Niven by hurling her into the steel ring steps. She then delivered a hard right to Luna from the apron and paved the way for The Scary Queen of Scots to hit the Gory Bomb on Luna for the victory.
My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – Overall, this wasn’t half bad. There’s some fine wrestlers in here, but the match…I don’t know.

Garza came into this one holding a grudge with “Swerve” after he was the one to eat the pinfall in their Fatal 4-Way Match back at WWE Worlds Collide, costing him the title. But Nxt’s resident lothario delivered his message in convincing fashion, defeating Scott with the Wing Clipper after again demonstrating the aggression he showcased against Humberto Carrillo and Mysterio. Welcome to this review of WWE Worlds Collide 2020, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have several matches featuring Nxt battling Nxt UK. This should be a good show. Let’s get right to it.
Match #1: Kay Lee Ray def. Mia Yim The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In the battle between Nxt and Nxt UK, the British contingent of the black-and-gold brand landed the first blow, with Nxt UK Champion Kay Lee Ray picking up a victory over Mia Yim on the Worlds Collide Pre-Show. Ray’s title wasn’t on the line in the cross-brand brawl, but she was forced to fight as though it was, eating boots and chops from Nxt’s Hbic straight out of the gate. Superkicks, punches and Destroyers followed, but for all the punishment Ray’s 5’8” frame absorbed, however, she didn’t wilt. Instead, she excelled, going high-risk...

Match #1: Jordan Devlin def. Ligero – Nxt Cruiserweight Title Fatal 4-Way Qualifier The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Jordan Devlin once again showed the WWE Universe why you must never bet against The Irish Ace when he used Devlin Side to conquer a very game Ligero and earn a place in World’s Collide’s Nxt Cruiserweight Championship Fatal 4-Way Match. He will face titleholder Angel Garza, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, and whomever won the matchup between Travis Banks and The Brain Kendrick in Nxt UK’s main event.

Welcome to this edition of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and the critics hated Rey being a Palpatine. They actually thought that being a nobody was more devastating than being the descendant of the Emperor. I’d rather be Marge Debruge’s son than Adolf Hitler’s kid, if you catch my drift. That argument for Rise Of Skywalker being terrible is so stupid…there are many reasons to dislike Rise Of Skywalker, but Rey being cursed as the spawn of evil is not one of them. Did Rey even care who her parents were in The Force Awakens? I was under the impression Rey knew who here parents were and didn’t give a s— that they were poor. Any-way, I’m prattling on because wrestling often feels like this argument about Rey in Rise Of Skywalker, that being completely stupid.

Match #1: Eddie Dennis def. Trent Seven The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
If Eddie Dennis sought to make a name for himself at Trent Seven’s expense, consider it a success. The former Headmaster knocked off The Big Strong Boi at TakeOver: Blackpool II for one of the biggest victories of his career. Overwhelming Seven early with an intense onslaught, including a massive Severn Bridge, Dennis tried to secure a quick victory with several early pinfall attempts. The Artful Dodger rallied with a tope suicida and snap dragon suplex on the outside of the ring, and from there, much of the action was a back-and-forth affair. That...

Returning from injury, Amir Jordan wasted no time rejoining Kenny Williams in tag team action. In the final moments, the reunited tandem scored a victory over Pretty Deadly on the wings of a Swanton Bombay from The Bhangra Bad Boy.

Match #1: Noam Dar def. Travis Banks The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Although Travis Banks missed the inaugural Nxt UK TakeOver in Blackpool after being attacked by Jordan Devlin back in January, The Kiwi Buzzsaw journeyed to Cardiff ready to take full advantage of the big TakeOver stage against the outspoken Noam Dar. In the early moments of an explosive contest, Banks seemed to injure his shoulder as well as his knee, and Dar attacked the weak spots like a shark that smelled blood. But the resilient Banks battled through the pain, opening the door for both skilled competitors to leave it all on the mat with an inedible display of high-octane offense that produced near-fall after near-fall.

Match #1: Ilja Dragunov def. Tyson T-Bone The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After Kassius Ohno handed him his first loss in Nxt UK two weeks ago, Ilja Dragunov answered back with a hard-fought victory over the tough-as-nails Tyson T-Bone. After T-Bone missed his target and was sent headfirst into the ring post in the final moments, Dragunov capitalized in a big way with a flying senton off the top rope into the dreaded Tornado Moscow for the win.

The vicious Joseph Conners looked to use the full force of his brutal nature to ground Mark Andrews in the opening Nxt UK contest from the Download Festival, but his high-flying opponent triumphed by hitting Stundog Millionaire into Fall to Pieces for the victory.

Match #1: Travis Banks def. Mansoor The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Despite a near upset by Nxt’s Mansoor, The Kiwi Buzzsaw reigned supreme over his cocky opponent when he leveled him with A Slice of Heaven off the ropes and planted him in the center of the ring with the Kiwi Crusher.
My Opinion: 2.5 out of 5 – This came off well for a match that felt stunted from the sound of the first bell. Nobody did badly here, but this felt more like a surprise hit from WWE Velocity than it did as a match from a prominent brand.

Match #1: Kassius Ohno def. Ligero The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In a crucial early moment of their brutal matchup, Ohno used Ligero’s momentum coming off the apron to drive him in the unforgiving steel steps. As a result, The Knockout Artist was able to maintain a strong advantage for the majority of the contest. Nevertheless, his resilient masked opponent battled back and regained the advantage against his aggressive adversary, taking him to the limit with an explosive offense both inside and outside the ring – including a wicked Sliced Bread off the steps and onto the ringside floor.
Welcome to this double-header of a review on WWE’s Worlds Collide, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the cruiser-weight and women’s episodes of this show to cover, so let’s get to it before Joe Biden touches me.
Cruiser-Weight Division: Match #1: Tyler Bate def. The Brian Kendrick The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Welcome to this week’s Nxt: UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Kelly Bundy working on her newest picture, “Contradictions of the Shy Stripper”. We’ve got a couple happy matches here to enjoy, so pull on up in the ol’ easy chair and get ready to spend a half hour painting some of nature’s master-pieces.
Match #1: Jordan Devlin def. Dan Moloney The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Returning for his brutal Falls Count Anywhere Match against Travis Banks several weeks ago, a determined Jordan Devlin looked to show the young Dan Moloney why you never bet against the Irish Ace in Nxt UK’s opening matchup. Moloney refused to give in easily to the vicious nature of his opponent, dishing out an effective offense that included a high-altitude back body drop that sent his opponent out of the ring,...

Best Moment:
Major League Faction (Major League Wrestling) – Contra Unit ripped Ace Romero to pieces to sell the new faction as a powerful new entity in the league.
