Peacock released the first full trailer for its upcoming controversial Casey Anthony docuseries.
The three-part limited series boasts the first on-camera interview with Anthony, who was acquitted in the murder trial of her toddler daughter 13 years ago in a case that made global headlines.
“I lied,” Anthony admits in the trailer (below). “But no one asked why.”
“It’s not the Casey that I knew,” adds one friend, “she loved that child.”
Directed by Alexandra Dean (This Is Paris), Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies is “Casey’s account of the infamous investigation, trial and aftermath, speaking to the speculation surrounding her actions at the time, her demeanor in the courtroom and her time spent in prison.”
Since a brief teaser for the project was released last week, the series has caused uproar, with many taking to Twitter to voice their outrage at giving Anthony a platform.

Former president Donald Trump has endorsed some wacky candidates since leaving office, including Michigan’s Republican nominee for secretary of state, Kristina Karamo. In a podcast episode unearthed by CNN’s KFile, Karamo claimed that abortion is “child sacrifice” and a “satanic practice,” CNN revealed on Sunday.
Karamo expressed her absurd beliefs about abortion on her podcast, It’s Solid Food. “Abortion is really nothing new,” she said. “The child sacrifice is a very satanic practice, and that’s precisely what abortion is. And we need to see it as such.

J.R. Majewski, the Maga rapper and landscaper who last week won a Republican primary for Congress in Ohio, has been trying to distance himself from QAnon. It’s going to be difficult, though, considering some of his past displays of loyalty to the unfounded conspiracy theory centered around the idea that the nation is run by a cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles.
CNN reported on Sunday that from July 2020 to January 2021, Majewski used his now-deleted personal Twitter account to tweet the QAnon hashtag #WWG1WGA “more than 50 times.” He also tweeted...

Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted on Wednesday that she reported Jimmy Kimmel to the Capitol Police for a joke he made at her expense. Kimmel kept going after the conspiracy theorist from Georgia on Thursday night, repeating the joke, calling her a “sociopath” and “snowflake,” and wondering why someone who has called for the death of politicians is suddenly “dialing 911 because she got made fun of.”

Following Donald Trump’s controversial Thursday speech claiming non-existing voter fraud, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper had a strong reaction, culminating with this statement, “That is the President of the United States. That is the most powerful man in the world And we see him like an obese turtle on his back, flailing in the hot sun, realizing his time is over. ”
The “obese turtle” line went viral, with the video of Cooper amassing tens of millions of views online and spurring a slew of memes. It also entered the political lexicon.
During CNN’s Saturday coverage after Joe Biden was declared winner of the 2020 Presidential election, Cooper interviewed former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang.

Donald Trump boasted of his administration’s response to the coronavirus crisis at his Tulsa rally on Saturday, but one comment quickly stood out amid concerns of holding such a large-scale event during the ongoing pandemic.
The president told the crowd, “You know testing is a double-edged sword. We have tested now 25 million people. It is probably 20 million people more than anybody else….Here’s the bad part. When you test to that extent, you are going to find more people, find more cases. So I said to my people, ‘Slow the testing down please.’ They test and they test.”
The crowd laughed. A White House official later suggested to reporters that the comment was a joke. Journalists, though, seized on the comment, as it was in line with others that Trump has said. He told The Wall Street Journal this week that more coronavirus tests drive up the number of cases.

Kayleigh McEnany was selected as the new White House press secretary Tuesday, according to the New York Times.
The news came hours after it was reported Stephanie Grisham was leaving the role and returning to her position as chief of staff to the first lady.
McEnany, currently serving as spokeswoman for Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign, was immediately identified in reports Tuesday morning as a contender for the suddenly-vacant job.
In a recent appearance on Fox Business Network, she defended the president’s response to the spread of Covid-19, saying, “We will not see diseases like the coronavirus come here.” A campaign spokesperson said that while the comment may have been “inarticulately worded,” according to CNN reporter Andrew Kaczynski, McEnany was not denying that coronavirus was in the U.S. but speaking in the context of the travel ban from China that Trump instated.
On the same day Larry Kudlow said coronavirus was “contained” on Feb.

On Monday, several media organizations released statements noting that they will no longer run the ad. One of those organizations is Fox News. “Upon further review, Fox News pulled the ad yesterday and it will...
