The number crunchers of OpenSlate have been very busy of late, and the company’s latest updates concern its bank account and its executive team. The social video-focused data analysis firm has closed a $7 million funding round led by North Base Media, and it has made two significant hires: Brian Quinn is its new President, and JoAnna Foyle has joined as COO.
The fresh funding will allow OpenSlate to “expand both the human and technological horsepower that turns massive amounts of contextual data into actionable analytics,” according to a press release. The company’s two hires represent some of the human horsepower it discusses. Quinn, who has been in the digital media industry for two decades, spent more than eight years in the ad sales department at the Wall Street Journal. Foyle worked for video ad platform Adap.tv before moving with that company to AOL after a 2013 sale.
