A handful of hours before George C. Wolfe’s Rustin would make its New York premiere as NewFest’s opening night selection on Oct. 12, more than 100 Black queer members of the Native Son collective gathered in The Chelsea Hotel’s Lobby Bar, drinks in hand and under a golden aura of light, dipping in and out of excited conversation.
“It’s really emotional for me,” Native Son founder Emil Wilbekin told The Hollywood Reporter. “Coming into this room and seeing all these beautiful Black queer men — who are legends, icons, mentors, new in their careers — you can feel the joy and love because we don’t have spaces like this.”

Oprah Winfrey and Prince Harry are following up their mental health documentary series The Me You Can’t See with a town hall-style conversation special.
Apple TV+ will air The Me You Can’t See: A Path Forward, with series participants and experts, from May 28. The special will feature subjects and advisers from the five-part series, which launched on the streamer on May 21.
The pair will reunite with those who appeared in the series for a conversation about mental health and emotional well-being, and where we go from here. As the subjects offer further insight into their stories, experts share their guidance for continuing the global conversation.

Paramount Plus announced that the fifth season of “The Good Fight” will premiere on June 24. Following the premiere, new episodes of the 10-episode season will be available to stream weekly on Thursdays.
In the fifth season, Diane (Christine Baranski) is forced to question whether it’s appropriate for her to help run an African American law firm with Liz (Audra McDonald) after the firm loses two top lawyers. Meanwhile, Marissa (Sarah Steele) and the firm become entangled with Hal Wackner (Mandy Patinkin), a regular Chicagoan who decides to open his own courtroom in the back of a copy shop.
The cast also includes Michael Boatman, Nyambi Nyambi, Zach Grenier and Charmaine Bingwa.
Robert and Michelle King serve as showrunners on “The Good Fight,” which they co-created with Phil Alden Robinson. Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Brooke Kennedy, Liz Glotzer, William Finkelstein, Jonathan Tolins and Jacquelyn Reingold also serve as executive producers.

In The Me You Can’t See, Oprah and Prince Harry join forces to guide discussions about mental health and emotional well-being, while opening up about their personal journeys and struggles. High-profile guests, including singer, songwriter and actress Lady Gaga; chef Rashad Armstead; NBA’s San Antonio Spurs’ DeMar DeRozan and Phoenix Suns’ Langston Galloway (formerly of the Detroit Pistons); actress and producer Glenn Close; 2021 Olympic Boxer Virginia “Ginny” Fuchs; and mental health advocate and speaker Zak Williams are among the participants.
