Back in 2009, a horror film called Orphan told us the story of a married couple who adopts a 9-year-old Russian girl only to discover that she’s actually a criminal adult passing herself off as a child. The film was loosely based on the true story of Barbora Skrlova, a 30-something woman who pretended to be a 13-year-old and did some very twisted things that were very different than what we saw in Orphan. In 2012, a sad case that made it into news reports reminded people of Orphan. It was the story of Natalia Grace, a Ukrainian-born girl with dwarfism who was adopted by American parents who began to suspect she was much older than records said she was. The Grace case has been covered on Dr. Phil and the docu-series The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, and now the Hulu streaming service is moving forward with a Natalia Grace-inspired...

Suits has now become one of the most-watched TV shows on Netflix with over 3.14 billion minutes of watch time surpassing the fantasy drama Manifest. The USA Network legal drama had everything working for it when it came out on the streaming service including brilliant characters, thrilling storylines, a genius blend of comedy and drama, and last but certainly not least Meghan Markle.
Now, that we know what kind of success a good television drama can achieve on Netflix, we are faced with another question and that is if a show with all the good qualities that Suits had minus Meghan Markle, comes out on Netflix will it enjoy the same fate as the legal drama or not. So, let’s find out.

Wendy Williams never held back when it came to her opinions about celebrities. So it was no surprise in 2019 when she blasted Meghan Markle for complaining about royal life on the Wendy show. On the heels of Meghan sharing how difficult being a royal was, Williams clapped back, “Nobody feels sorry for you.”
Wendy Williams told Meghan Markle she knew what she was ‘signing up for’
In 2019, Meghan Markle spoke to ITV for the Harry & Meghan: An African Journey documentary. There, she confessed to having trouble acclimating to royal life.
“When I first met Harry, my friends were so excited. My US friends were happy because I was happy,” Meghan said. “But my British friends, they were sure he was lovely, but they said I shouldn’t do it because ‘The British tabloids will destroy your life.’ I just didn’t get it.”

Like every year, Super Bowl Lviii means some major TV ads, with several hitting the internet ahead of the sports event. While ads and commercials are often an annoyance to TV viewers any other time of the year, the Super Bowl gets a free pass as some fans tune in merely to see what advertisers have come up with for the highly-coveted airtime they’ll receive on the big day on Sunday, February 11 on CBS. Before 2023 concluded, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made it known that they plan to take on new projects that don’t involve talking about the royal family and see 2024 as their “year of redemption.”
The news that they want to turn over a new leaf comes after quite a few public disasters and setbacks the previous year including Spotify canceling Meghan’s podcast and ending its partnership with the pair, an executive for the streaming company then labeling them “f****** grifters,” and being ridiculed on comedy shows such as South Park and Family Guy.
There’s been plenty of speculation about what the couple will do now though since the majority of their success after stepping down as working royals has come from talking about the royals. Some think Meghan may go back to acting as that’s something she did before she even met Harry. But now a royal...

The Suits cast had a mini-reunion at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards without Meghan Markle. The Duchess of Sussex, who played Rachel Zane in the series, was nowhere to be seen at the as four of her co-stars from the USA legal drama, which has seen a resurgence in popularity, attended the ceremony. Why? Because, as one of Meghan’s co-stars revealed, they have no way of getting in touch with her.

A lot less boozy than the Golden Globes at its traditional best, the return of the once flatlining ceremony to broadcast TV on Sunday proves what every 12-step program participant knows: You got to start somewhere, but don’t get on Taylor Swift’s bad side.
Shifting to CBS after decades on NBC and up against a Buffalo Bills-Miami Dolphins showdown on Sunday Night Football, the Globes cut to superstar Swift’s reactions for a ratings boost almost as much as the NFL does when she’s in a stadium private box. Initially, those gauche efforts by the show and host Jo Koy earned a scowl and a swig of her drink from Swift at her table early on, but they doggedly kept at it.

Perhaps you’ve heard but it’s been a very Suits summer.
Despite airing its final episode in September 2019, USA Network’s legal procedural Suits has been the talk of the streaming world ever since its first eight seasons arrived to Netflix on June 17. All nine seasons have been streaming on Peacock for far longer but Netflix, as the biggest streaming service, tends to drive the most attention. Per Nielsen, Suits has already broken its own streaming record with 3.7 billion minutes viewed the first week of July and viewership intensity doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
The potential reasons for Suits‘ surge in popularity are manyfold. While the dual WGA and Sga strikes shouldn’t have led to an extended pause in summer content in theory, some studios have juggled their schedules a bit to weather the storm for the fall season. Suits has experienced something of a resurgence. After being added to the Netflix catalog, old fans started tuning in, and many new viewers joined them. The legal drama has become so popular on the streaming service provider that it shattered streaming records. Now, executive producer, Gene Klein, believes Suits reboot talks are looming, but Meghan Markle probably won’t be joining the cast.

One of the most popular shows of the last ten years is getting a renaissance thanks to Netflix.
While the USA Network legal drama delivered stellar ratings when it aired on the cable network, the show is still in demand four years after its conclusion.
According to Deadline, the series picked up an incredible 3.1B viewing minutes during the week of June 26 to July 2.
Those numbers include streaming on both Netflix and Peacock, and they're very impressive.
This is the biggest tally for an acquired series on the Nielsen streaming chart, and there's a good chance the numbers could continue to climb.
Suits hit the air in 2011 and was a firm favorite worldwide, with many viewers enjoying the dynamics between the characters on the show.
The jumping-off point found Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), a university expellee with a photographic memory, finding his way into an interview for a job at a prestigious law firm.

The character of life is intrinsically governed by chances and coincidences, which control key choices and decisions of living beings at every turn, thereby shaping their destinies. What if we were given a chance to alter that course by tweaking those key moments to make up for the often regretful decisions we take during a lifetime? But does that help much when human nature plays a wild card to turn the table always in favor of the unseen nemesis? This is the question CBC’s latest sci-fi series, “Plan B,” asks its viewers. They recently concluded the first season of the series starring “Suits” fame Patrick J. Adams, as the lead (who once again plays the role of an aspiring lawyer), uses time travel as a plot device to evaluate the human condition by highlighting the inescapable tragic inevitability of our doomed existence.

The Berlinale Special section of the Berlin Film Festival is a showcase for movies that are intelligent, but less arty than those in the main competition or festival sidebars. And in showcasing mainstream non-English-language films the section is also a springboard for performers who may be big news at home, but who are little-known outside their core markets.

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle might have swapped the set of Suits for Kensington Palace, but despite her new royal duties, it seems that she’s certainly not neglecting the friendships she forged throughout seven seasons of filming. First, her Suits co-stars — including on-screen husband Patrick J. Adams, Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres, Gabriel Macht, and his wife Jacinda Barrett — were guests of honor when Meghan married Prince Harry at Windsor Castle on May 19. Now, two of her former colleagues are returning the favor. Gabriel — perhaps best known as Suits’ lead character Harvey Specter — and Jacinda have reportedly invited Meghan and Harry to stay with them when they visit Australia as part of their first royal tour as a couple.
