- Judge Ann T. Mikoll was one of the youngest people to every serve on the Buffalo City Court bench when she was appointed by then-Mayor Steven Pankow in 1957. Twenty years later, she became a State Supreme Court Judge and one of the first two women to serve in the Appellate Division.

- Received the 2004 Edwin F. Jaeckle Award from the University at Buffalo Law School and the UB Law Alumni Association, the highest honor of these institutions.
- Honored, along with two other "women judges", at the Buffalo History Museum in 2017 as part of their "Giants of Buffalo" series, honoring those who have made history or extraordinary contributions to their community or industry. The event was titled: Giants of Buffalo: Women of the Law. Judge Howe and Judge Penny Wolfgang, both of Erie, were also honored.

- 1995 awarded the Gold Officer's Cross from the Polish government.
