It’s all too easy to understand the appeal of a show like “Echoes” to a streaming service like Netflix. From creator Vanessa Gazy and showrunners Quentin Peeples and Brian Yorkey (“13 Reasons Why”), “Echoes” feels like “Firefly Lane” and “Behind Her Eyes” collided to create a melodrama as deeply strange as it is quickly ingestible. Its seven episodes fly by fast enough to distract from the fact that they only barely make sense. It’s twisty, but repetitive, making sure every plot point gets several scenes to marinate. All the while, Michelle Monaghan throws herself into the challenge of portraying twins with the delirious freedom that the show’s hyperbolic framework allows. Once, “Echoes” might have been a made-for-tv movie; now, it’s a limited series built to set up camp in Netflix’s Top 10 until another version of the same (maybe Emily Deschanel’s upcoming “Devil in Ohio”?) knocks it out.

Following July’s packed movie slate, more upcoming TV shows and films are beginning to roll out their trailers. “Never Have I Ever” Season 3 dropped its first trailer ahead of the August 12 premiere, while large casts have fans excited for the remaining summer TV shows, including Nick Offerman, Abbi Jacobson, Chanté Adams, D’Arcy Carden, and Roberta Colindrez in “A League of Their Own.”
We also got our first look at Ana de Armas’ upcoming performance as a fictional interpretation of Marilyn Monroe in “Blonde” as well as the trailer for the third and final season of Netflix’s “Locke & Key.” Guillermo del Toro’s stop motion animated “Pinocchio” is sure to rival Disney’s and Lionsgate’s.
We’ve rounded up all of the trailers you may have missed this week to put in one post. There were quite a few, so read below.

The media's obsession with mysteries involving twins is showing no signs of slowing down, and Netflix's latest effort looks like a surefire hit.
Michelle Monaghan is pulling double duty on this one from co-showrunners Brian Yorkey (13 Reasons Why) and Quinton Peeples (Runaways).
Given the previous shows the creatives worked on, we're inclined to believe this will have twists and turns coming from all directions, and that's what we like best.
"Echoes is a mystery thriller about two identical twins, Leni and Gina, who share a dangerous secret," the spoilery synopsis reads.
"Since they were children, Leni and Gina have secretly swapped lives, culminating in a double life as adults: they share two homes, two husbands, and a child but everything in their perfectly choreographed world is thrown into disarray when one of the sisters goes missing."
It certainly sounds similar to The CW's Ringer.
