Celebrity chef and upcoming actor Ranveer Brar is used to dishing out fine European cuisine, as he did in a previous avatar as executive chef at The Claridges in New Delhi, or he revels in getting to the bottom of the finer points of his hometown Lucknow’s nawabi spread.
So, seeing him in the wild cooking with sticks foraged from the forest at an undisclosed location on a primitive hearth, ‘chulha’, that’s been in use since humans invented fire, comes as a surprise.
Brar appears to be chopping orange carrots with his signature black Santoku knife. The chef chose a casual outfit for his outdoor cooking session, donning an olive coloured t-shirt paired with green-coloured pants.
And this is all that he says in his cryptic comment: “Chef hoon, jahaan jaata hoon apna kitchen saath lekar jaata hoon.”

She also discussed with us how every other Sunday, she makes biryani for her family and friends when they have a get-together. Asserting that if the intention is to feed others good food, then for sure the meal will be delicious and tempting, he found a similar taste in the dish prepared by Suvarna Bagul of Maharashtra.
During the ‘MasterChef India’ show, the contestants were asked to prepare Arabic cuisine and Suvarna decided to prepare ‘Tagine Ghavran Mutton with Zaatar Kulcha’ which is famous in Abu Dhabi in the ‘Black Apron’ test. Ranveer said: “I was surprised by the idea of Gurkirat’s dish which was having two sweeteners together on the plate- a dessert and tea. The tea was light, and the spice of the cinnamon balanced out the sweetness of the Qatayef.”

Celebrity chef Ranveer Brar recounted visiting Northeast and enjoying the food there.
