- After the war, he became a photographer.
- He was a master forger and member of the French resistance who created identity cards, baptismal certificates, ration books and other documents to help Jews escape the Nazis. He worked in an attic in the Latin Quarter of Paris. He also used his skills to assist Algerians seeking independence from France, opponents of Francisco Franco of Spain, and anti-apartheid activists in South Africa.
- He and his family were rounded up in 1943 and taken to a transit camp outside Paris where thousands of Jews were held en route to Auschwitz and other Nazi death camps. Because they had Argentine passports, the Kaminskys were released.
