Richard (Dick) Lentz is a Colorado actor, writer, and gold prospector. He was born in Minnesota but spent most of his young life in Iowa. After graduating from a small high school in Van Meter, Iowa (in a class with 22 students), he attended the University of Iowa. After one year there he volunteered for the Navy, serving four years as a Navy Hospital Corpsman (an Operating Room Technician) one of which was with the Third Marine Division in Okinawa. Following his tour with the Navy, Dick attended Simpson Bible College in San Francisco, graduating from there with a degree in Biblical Literature and Communications.
Although Dick did some acting in high school and college, he took it up more seriously following graduation from college. He obtained his stage and film acting training at Diablo Valley College in Concord, California, performed in a handful of theater productions while in the area, and also worked in a number of film, television, and commercial productions. Upon moving to Colorado, he added writing, software development, teaching, and gold prospecting to his resume of life adventures.
