Cassie Ventura is speaking out for the first time following the release of a graphic video showing her then-boyfriend rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs physically assaulting her in 2016 in a Los Angeles hotel.
“The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning,” she wrote in a statement posted to Instagram on Thursday. “Domestic Violence is The issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past.”

Sean Combs, who is involved in multiple lawsuits over his alleged behavior, is set to be the subject of a docuseries from his rival 50 Cent.
The latter, otherwise known as Curtis Jackson, says that Netflix “wins the bidding war” for a docuseries that he is producing on the rapper otherwise known as Diddy.
The series, which Jackson says is called Diddy Do It, is being produced by Jackson’s G-Unit Film and Television banner. Netflix has not responded to confirmation.
It comes as Combs is facing numerous lawsuits, including sexual assault allegations.
Earlier this week, model Crystal McKinney accused Combs of sexually assaulting her 21 years ago.
“Seeing Plaintiff was very intoxicated, Combs demanded Plaintiff follow him and he physically led Plaintiff to the bathroom,” the suit details. After McKinney initially refused to perform fellatio on Combs, the rapper “shoved her head down to his crotch” and forced her to give him oral sex.

Just days after 2016 hotel security footage of Sean “Diddy” Combs beating on his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura was made public, a model is now claiming that Bad Boy Entertainment founder drugged and sexually assaulted her in his New York recording studio 21 years ago.
“Combs’ assault has altered the trajectory of (Crystal McKinney’s) career, denying her a successful and lucrative career in the modeling and film industries,” the filing today in federal court by Crystal McKinney says.
The winner of MTV’s Model Mission contest in 1998, then 22-year-old McKinney met the “Missing You” performer at a Men’s Fashion Week dinner in 2003 and was invited to his nearby studio, the complaint states. Already having been given quite a bit to drink, the plaintiff says she was encouraged to partake of some “very powerful” pot by Diddy – something several other accusers have detailed as an M.O. of the Bad Boy Entertainment founder.

On Monday morning, the cohosts of The View weighed in on the recently-released video of Sean Combs aka Diddy attacking his then-girlfriend Cassie in 2016, as well as his on-camera apology for his behavior after the footage surfaced on CNN. Following remarks by other cohosts, Alyssa Farah Griffin revealed her personal connection to the case: “I hope the book’s thrown at him. The apology was lacking… He didn’t even name Cassie. There was no message to young men. There was no saying he was going to donate his millions to a domestic violence shelter. And part of this conversation I’ve seen since this video emerged is this question of, ‘Why didn’t she leave?’ I want to speak to that,” Griffin said. “I once was a victim of domestic abuse in a prior relationship,” the former Trump White House staffer explained. “It happened once. Sean “Diddy” Combs on Sunday posted a video apology on Instagram for a 2016 assault on his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
The apology arrives days after a hotel surveillance video emerged in which Combs appeared to grab, shove, drag and kick Ventura.
“My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video,” he said on Instagram.
“I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now,” he added. “I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
Combs previously denied Ventura’s allegations of assault.
The hotel footage comes from the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.

Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura’s husband Alex Fine is standing by the singer after CNN released footage of Diddy kicking and dragging her in a hotel hallway in 2016. On Friday, Fine posted a letter on Instagram supporting survivors, sharing some pointed words for abusers.
“Men who hit women aren’t men. Men who enable it and protect those people aren’t men,” read the letter. “As men, violence against women shouldn’t be inevitable, check your brothers, your friends, and your family. Our daughters, sisters, mothers, and wives should feel protected and loved.

Cassandra Ventura’s short-lived rape and abuse lawsuit against her former long-term boyfriend Sean “Puffy” Combs was settled in November, but a 2016 surveillance video reveals just how horrific the rap mogul could be to the singer. In fact, despite constant denials of various accusations of abuse, Combs himself must know how damning the footage is because he allegedly bought it for $50,000 the day after the incident in Los Angeles.
In the graphic clip obtained exclusively by CNN (see it here), Combs is seen with a towel around his waist in a corridor of a Century City hotel. He grabs the back of Ventura’s hoodie and hurls her to the floor, then kicks and appears to drag her back toward their room. Later, she picks up a hotel phone, and Combs returns and appears to shove her. The clip also appears to show a then-seated Combs throwing an object in Ventura’s direction.

What is the world of rap without feuds? Well, the music world is on fire as of late, as Drake and Kendrick Lamar have spent the better part of the last month and a half throwing diss tracks at one another in a constant stream. That’s right, we now have a Pulitzer Prize winner in a rap war…Damn.
Drake and Kendrick Lamar have been going at it for over a decade at this point. Even though they formerly collaborated on a number of projects in the early 2010s, their partnership, like so many in the rap world, fell apart. While the first diss track came sometime back in 2013, the clash between Drake and Kendrick Lamar is at an all-time high. The trigger for this thread goes back to March’s “Like That”, in which Lamar distanced himself from his former friend. Drake hit back the following month on...

P. Diddy has won a lot of hearts with his music, true, but the controversy surrounding him as of late seems to have reduced his respect in the entertainment industry to a considerable extent. And among the multiple other celebrities who took a subtle dig at him following this heap of controversy, singer-songwriter Kesha seems to have joined the ensemble.

Liquor giant Diageo Plc said it was severing ties with entrepreneur Sean Combs after the celebrity filed a suit alleging Diageo had not supported joint ventures involving Ciroc vodka and DeLeón tequila.
Combs sued Diageo in late May in New York Supreme Court in Manhattan, alleging that the company, which also distributes Johnnie Walker and Captain Morgan, among other liquor brands, had neglected the spirits under their joint control. He also alleged Diageo had undermined the business by marketing Ciroc and DeLeón as “urban,” rather than something for the general market.
In a filing made Tuesday in the same jurisdiction, Diageo called for the suit to be dismissed and said it would no longer be working with Combs, who over the years has launched a clothing line and restaurants and has a stake in the Revolt TV cable network.
“We are saddened that Mr. Combs has chosen to recast a...

Combs’ father is Sean Combs, better known as P. Diddy.
Combs was arrested on Sunday and charged with DUI after he failed a sobriety test and officers saw him run a red light. His bail was set at $5,000, and he was later released on the same day by his recognizance.
In Hylton’s Instagram stories, she seems to have thrown shade at her ex-boyfriend, P. Diddy. They dated from 1992 to 1995.
“Everyone has to sit around for years and act like there isn’t anything wrong with you. This is where the buck stops for me,” Hylton wrote.
“I do realize Clarity and Context are important. You want to do reality TV? Ok let’s be real then. Let’s lay it all out then Starting from the top,” referring to Diddy...
