Bob Hoskins was described by the director John Mackenzie as "an actor from the British tradition but with an almost American approach, an instinctive approach to acting and knowing how to work with the camera". He was born on October 26, 1942, in Bury St. Edmund's, Suffolk, where his mother was living after being evacuated as a result of the heavy bombings. He is the son of Elsie Lillian (Hopkins), a nursery school teacher and cook, and Robert William Hoskins, Sr., who drove a lorry and worked as a bookkeeper. Growing up, Hoskins received only limited education and he left school at 15, but with a passion for language and literature instilled by his former English teacher.
A regular theatre-goer, Hoskins dreamed of starring on stage, but before he could do so he had to work odd jobs for a long time to make ends meet. His acting career started out more by accident than by design, when he accompanied a friend to watch some auditions, only to be confused for one of the people auditioning, getting a script pushed into his hands with the message "You're next". He got the part and acquired an agent. After some stage success, he expanded to television with roles in television series such as Villains (1972) and Thick as Thieves (1974). In the mid-'70s, he started his film career, standing out when he performed alongside Richard Dreyfuss in John Byrum's Inserts (1975) and in a smaller part in Richard Lester's Royal Flash (1975).
Hoskins broke through in 1978 in Dennis Potter's mini TV series, Pennies from Heaven (1978), playing "Arthur Parker", the doomed salesman. After this, a string of high-profile and successful films followed, starting with his true major movie debut in 1980's The Long Good Friday (1980) as the ultimately doomed "Harold Shand". This was followed by such works as The Cotton Club (1984), Mona Lisa (1986), which won him an Oscar nomination as well as a BAFTA award, Cannes Film Festival and Golden Globe), Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) (Golden Globe nomination), Mermaids (1990), Hook (1991), Nixon (1995), Felicia's Journey (1999) and Enemy at the Gates (2001).
Hoskins always carefully balanced the riches of Hollywood with the labor of independent film, though leaned more towards the latter than the former. He worked at smaller projects such as Shane Meadows' debut TwentyFourSeven (1997), in which he starred as "Allen Darcy". Besides this, he found time to direct, write and star in The Raggedy Rawney (1988), as well as direct and star in Rainbow (1995), and contributing to HBO's Tales from the Crypt (1989) and Tube Tales (1999).
Suffering from Parkinson's disease in later years, Hoskins died of pneumonia at age 71 in a London hospital.- Actor

He's been called a musical wonderboy, one of the finest songwriters in England & the best-kept secret in music. Kezz Stone is a British born singer/songwriter hailing from London's Chelsea district.
Born in Bury St Edmunds in 1978 he is the younger of two boys to folk singer Jed Stone & mother Sally Potirakis. Attended Norwich City College sporadically in the mid 90s, preferring to spend most of his time globe trotting with touring bands, & perfecting his bewildering guitar technique. He won the face of 97 modeling competition, & then refused to stand in-front of the camera.
Having gained himself a reputation as a serial model dater, in 2000 he settled down with Italian model Nathalie Petronelli, with whom he set up & runs independent record label Airhead Records. He has released one full-length solo album to date "Great Expectations" released June 2005 & showcased his extraordinary talent playing every single instrument on the album that he recorded on a four-track tape recorder in a house perched on the side of the A1 motorway. The album featured the lyrical ode to his muse Asia Argento who's name is also the songs title, as well as the instrumental "Scarlet Diva", taking its name from the movie written by, directed by & starring Argento.
Likened to his own guitar hero Django Reinhardt, for his ability to play only by ear, as he never learned to read music, insisting, "books should be read, music should be played". Always a musical puzzle Stones influences draw from the energy of 1970's London punk bands, the bluesy rock of Led Zeppelin, & the earthy passion of his gypsy mentors Taraf de Haidouks.
Thought to reside in the glitzy boho surfing town of Biarritz in his adopted country France, his gypsy lifestyle & unpredictability means little factual evidence of Stone exists. Clearly connected & highly protected, his name is like a ripple amongst the coolest of celebrity circles. Only time will tell if he will overcome his shyness & let the rest of the world hear just exactly what they say he's capable of.- Editor

Born in June 1945 in Suffolk, Bryan left school at 18. He started as an Assistant Stage Manager at Oldham Repertory Theatre, rising to Stage Manager and then worked his way via Northampton, Canterbury and Exeter Northcott Theatre (which he opened with Tony Church) to being Stage Director at The Mermaid Theatre, at Bernard Miles' invitation. He stage-directed 'Treasure Island' with Barry Humphries, Spike Milligan and Willie Rushton, then 'Hadrian 7th', with Alec McCowan, and 'Black Girl in Search of God' with Dame Edith Evans.
From there he moved over to Film & TV with 'The Avengers' (1968) followed by a career in the cutting rooms which included assistant editing 'The Killing Fields', 'Get Carter', 'The Mission' and other feature films. He assisted on Jane Goodall's 'Baboons' for which he won an Emmy citation.
Bryan was invited by Ken Loach to join him as assistant director on 'Family Life', followed by assistant directing Philip Saville on 'Secrets'. However, realising that, as the film historian & Bryan's friend Kevin Brownlow wrote, "The Hidden Power" lay in editing (and not in getting actors out of bed early in the morning and to the studio, through make-up and hair and ready to shoot) he returned to the cutting rooms. He soon became an editor, sought after in film and television drama.
Over the 40 years of his film career he worked with Ken Loach, Roland Joffé, Richard Attenborough, Aisling Walsh, Martin Scorsese, John Schlesinger, Mike Hodges and Franco Zeffirelli. He retired in June 2008.- Jack Barker was born on 19 August 2000 in Bury St Edmunds. He is an actor, known for We Hunt Together (2020), The Gold (2023) and Ali & Ava (2021).

Noah was born to a British father and an American mother, in a tiny village outside Bury St. Edmunds, England. Two-weeks later he was living in New Mexico, on a high altitude quarter-horse training ground, with his parents and the likes of Dennis Hopper & friends (circa 1970). At the age of 3, Noah's mother tragically passed away. He then began living in New York with his father. At age 9, his father also passed. Noah had by then, moved to Miami where he was being raised by his grandparents until age 15, at which time, he embarked out on his own two feet, paying rent and running his own car washing business. He attended college to study journalism and rose to Features Editor for the campus newspaper, The Falcon Times, which at the time was rated the number one college newspaper in the U.S. During his time in high school and college he interned for, and then became a staff member of, the local TV station WSVN. He started out as a utility and rose to E.N.G. (Electronic News Gather). During his time at the station, he was shot at, raided crack dens with the police & flew in a helicopter in search of escaped buffalo amongst many other news adventures. However, soon it wasn't enough, and he left Florida for California 2 years later, in search of the notorious "wild oats".
It was indeed a wild couple of months as Noah crossed the country in his ever breaking-down Volkswagen Transporter. When it finally died in Gila Bend, Arizona, he sold what he couldn't carry and went to a friend of a friend's in San Francisco. Noah initially settled in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco for about a year while studying acting with Bruno Borello. However, he soon got the itch to go south and jump into the void that is Los Angeles. After a brief few months, he started to find success in the form of a GTE commercial. This granted him access to the elusive S.A.G. card, and from there he kept on going. From "Chaplin" with Robert Downey Jr., to "Cruel Doubt" with Gyneth Paltrow. He soon found himself moving up from The Gage Group to the magnificent Johnathan Howard and the machine that is the William Morris Agency. He stayed with them for the following 4 years and racked up such shows as 19, for CBS by Amy Heckerling (Clueless) and 20 Bucks, playing Brendan Fraser's best man. In 1995, Noah left L.A. to come to sunny London where, once again, he immediately started working. First was John Sullivan's WWII mini-series "Over Here", with Sam West and Martin Clunes. A number of other soldier roles has ensued over the years since coming to the UK, most recently in Buffalo Soldiers, where Noah opens the film in a gritty army-noir film by Aussie Gregor Jordan. Most recently Noah has appeared in Batman: The Beginning and currently is playing in "Death of a Salesman" on London's West End.
Noah continues to work in roles for film, television, stage and voice. On the stage Noah played in the Private Room at the New End Theatre as well as garnering Time Out Critic's Choice for his role in Gompers at The Arcola Theatre.
Noah is also a prolific Voice-Over artist and can be heard in everything from ads, to video games to documentary narrations and language tapes. Video games like Viet Cong (Crockett), Sacred(Battle Mage), Carve(Moki), Starship Troopers (Base Leader); Documentaries like Miracle Statues (BBC/Discovery Channel), Bush for a day (BBC3), A Newsreel History of the Third Reich (20 Programmes, Arts Magic, UK); and ads for Budweiser, American Airlines, Lego Sports, Virgin Mega-Stores amongst many others.
Noah has also written several film scripts, plays and television pilots and is now shopping them around to get them produced.
