Adolphson grew up in Norrköping, where his father was smith. To his father's disapproval, he began acting in small parts in the local theaters, particularly Arbis, the worker's theater. He started an education to become an engineer in Västerås, but the theater was the only thing he was interested in and eventually left school. In 1913 he joined a traveling theater company and traveled all around Sweden. He debuted in Stockholm in 1918 and during the the 1920s he played with the big names in the Swedish theatre: Harriet Bosse (whom he later married), Ernst Rolf, Katie Rolfsen, Tollie Zellman, Erik 'Bullen' Berglund and Gösta Ekman among others. In 1929 he directed Säg det i toner (1929), one of the first Swedish sound pictures. This led to an offer from Paramount to direct movies in Paris, France which he accepted. During the 1930s and 1940s he worked very hard with movies and theater, not only because he loved his work, but also to support an increasing number of ex-wives and children. In 1956 he met Hans Alfredson at the Swedish Radio company. They worked together for almost thirty years and made variety shows, films and TV-productions that were loved by the Swedish people. They were comedians, yet everything they made had a serious message. On stage Tage Danielsson was the tall, red-headed man, genuinely kind and folksy but with a sharp intellect and a malicious tongue. Uno Myggan Ericson said of him that he was "a nice viper".- Marie Göranzon was born on 27 October 1942 in Linköping, Östergötlands län, Sweden. - Agneta Anna Karin Mossberg was born in a small town called Linkoping, Ostergotland, Sweden. Her father, Eije Mossberg, was an influential businessman and politician.
In the early 1960s, the tall, pretty blonde was discovered by F.C. Gundlach, a German fashion photographer, for whom she did extensive photo shoots in Rome, Paris, London, Egypt, Kenya, and South Africa.
She had a soft spot for Spain, especially Madrid, and relocated there for a while. Barely 18 years old, Karin landed her first small part in a Spanish movie, The Uninhibited (1965), which co-starred Melina Mercouri and James Mason. The year after, she played the female lead in another Spanish production, Rafael Gil's drama La vida nueva de Pedrito de Andía (1965). The movie wasn't a big success, and neither the critics nor the public were too fond of Karin's acting skills.
Shortly after, while living in Mexico City, she was put under contract by Warner Bros. and got immediately cast alongside Lana Turner in the psychedelic thriller The Big Cube (1968) which excessively flopped but gained some sort of cult following over the years.
By 1969, Karin's momentum as a model and actress had already surpassed its high peak and she retired from the limelight. As of 2022, little is known about the whereabouts of this pretty lady. - Maurtz Hugo was born on January 12 1909 in Gothenburg, Sweden to Augusta Detterberg and Ernst Robert Ekelöf, one of the city's first movie owners, as Axel Hugo Mauritz Ekelöf. Fredrik Gunnarsson was born on 4 September 1965 in Oxelösund, Östergötlands län, Sweden. He is an actor, known for Show Me Love (1998), Wallander (2005) and Wallander (2008).- Knute Erickson was a vaudeville comedian and actor active in Hollywood between 1915 and 1936. His most famous creation was that of the character Daffy Dan, with which he had some success as a touring vaudeville performer, in a show presented by Hollywood mogul Jesse Lasky. Daffy Dan made his film debut in 1915 in a couple of two-reel comedies, and was featured in two Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle films that were never released in the US.
Daffy Dan was a "Swedish" character, very much like that of Philadephia-born comedian El Brendel's character "Ole", which he developed around the same time. To add authenticity to the character, Erickson would insist that he himself was born in Norrköping, Sweden. In fact, he was born in Ogden, Utah as Carl Erickson. However, unlike El Brendel, Erickson did have Swedish ancestry: his parents were Swedish immigrants.
Outside of his vaudeville acts, Erickson continued to act in films up until 1936, when he did his last role, in the serial The Amazing Exploits of the Clutching Hand. Daffy Dan, however, only had one more film outing, as Lon Chaney's daffy henchman in the silent horror comedy The Monster (1925). Erickson primarily played bit-parts, often uncredited. - Additional Crew
