One of Europe's most celebrated actresses, Carice van Houten is perhaps best known as 'Melisandre' in the iconic TV show Game of Thrones, a performance for which she has been recognized with an Emmy Award nomination in 2019. Other projects include Paul Verhoeven's award-winning Black Book and Bryan Singer's Valkyrie opposite Tom Cruise and as Melisandre on Game of Thrones. Recent projects include Instinct and Temple, a TV show for Sky opposite Mark Strong, which has been picked up for a second season.
Her Dutch-language feature Love Life, gained her further critical acclaim and broke box office records in her native Holland. Her next film Happy Housewive won her a record breaking 5th Golden Calf at The Netherlands Film Festival and was voted 'Best Dutch Actress of All Time' by the Dutch audience. Other awards include Best Actress for Black Butterflies at the Tribeca Film Festival and the Best Performance award for Instinct at the Les Arcs Film Festival 2019.
Her credits include Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's Intruders and Bill Condon's The Fifth Estate, the Jesse Owens biopic, Race, with Jason Sudekis and Jeremy Irons and voiced a character in The Simpsons. She can also be seen in Brian de Palma's Domino and in Brimstone, opposite Dakota Fanning, Guy Pearce and Kit Harrington, and The Glass Room, with Claes Bang. She played a leading role in Halina Reijn's directorial feature debut Instinct, opposite Marwan Kenzari (Aladdin), which won the Variety Piazza Grande Award in Locarno Film Festival 2019. Instinct is the first outing for the Carice and Halina's production banner, Man Up.
Up next is the new Dutch series Red Light, in which she not only plays the lead role but she is also creative producer of the show, together with Halina and their production company Man Up The show is expected to air in Autumn 2020.- Actor

Carel Struycken was born in the Hague, The Netherlands. When he was four years old his family moved to Curacao, an island in the Caribbean. At age sixteen, he returned to his home country, where he finished high school. He graduated from the directing program at the film school in Amsterdam, following which he did a year at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles.
After school, he collaborated on a number of projects of writer/director Rene Daalder. He was "discovered" as an actor at the corner of Hollywood and Vine in Los Angeles by a lady who had abandoned her car in the middle of the street, calling after him, "We need you for a movie!". The movie was Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1978). The turning point in his acting career however was Ewoks: The Battle for Endor (1985), a George Lucas film. In addition to cinema, he has also appeared on television, notably as the recurring character, valet Mr. Homn, on Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987).
Carel has also helped in hardware and software development of virtual reality systems.- Josha started his acting career in 2006 with musical theater productions like 'Kuifje: De Zonnetempel', 'Ciske de Rat' and 'The Sound of Music'. He studied at the Lucia Marthas Performance Academy and at CodArts. His screen debut was with a lead in the youth series 'Naranjina en de Kadekapers', followed by 'Spangas' and appearances in the shows 'Dokter Tinus' and 'Verborgen Verhalen'. Josha has graduated in 2018 from the AHK Theatre School in Amsterdam with a Bachelor in acting.
He played in shows like 'Gender' and 'Bromance' by Theater group Oostpool and director Timothy de Gilde and in 'Oedipus' by Ivo van Hove's International Theater Amsterdam and director Robert Icke. He also starred in a few shorts and the television film 'Just Friends', which won many international awards. In 2018 he was selected as a shooting star for the Subtitle Film Festival.
In 2020 he starred as fighter pilot Rutger in the international series High Flyers. Last year, after two years of filming The Wheel of Time premiered season 1 on Amazone Prime Video. In the show he stars opposite Rosamund Pike as Rand Al'Thor. The show is a hit and he just finished shooting the 2nd season and season 3 has already been green-lit. - Actress

Gaite Jansen is considered one of the most promising Dutch young acting talents of her generation. She can be seen on the HBO/ Cinemax show Jett (2019), opposite Carla Gugino, directed by Sebastian Gutierrez. Prior to this, she played recurring roles on BBC's Peaky Blinders (2013) Season 3 and Line of Duty (2012) Season 4.
Her performance as a deaf teenager in the groundbreaking 2011 drama 170 Hz (2011) earned her nominations for Best Actress at the Seattle Film Festival and the Netherlands Film Festival. Supernova (2014), in which she plays the lead role, screened in the Generations competition at Berlinale film festival 2014. She also played the lead role in The Price of Sugar (2013), the opening film of the Netherlands Film Festival in 2013.

A leading lady of the 1940s, the tall and blonde Foch usually played cool, aloof and often foreign, women of sophistication. As film roles became harder to find, Foch proved to be versatile in many areas. She was a panelist on several TV quiz shows, worked as George Stevens' assistant director for The Diary of Anne Frank (1959) and directed plays. Since the 1960s, she has been an acting teacher for USC and the American Film Institute.- Fedja van Huêt is one of the most diverse and celebrated stage and screen actors of his generation in the Netherlands. Before graduating from the Maastricht Theatre Academy, Mike van Diem cast him to play the lead in his Oscar winning film 'Character' (Best Foreign Language Film, 1998). Fedja was an ensemble member of Johan Simon's legendary Hollandia theatre company from 1996-2005. Hollandia toured throughout Europe and, in 2000, won the coveted European Prize New Theatrical Realities. From 2005-2013 he joined renowned Belgian director Ivo van Hove's Toneelgroep Amsterdam and starred in plays including Angels in America, Opening Night, Coriolanus, Platonov and MacBeth (Best Actor nomination). In 2013 he received the Mary Dresselhuys prize for his oeuvre and extraordinary accomplishments as a theatre actor. During these years, Fedja continued to work in film. He starred in Erik de Bruyn's Wilde Mossels (Best Film Award 2000, Dutch film press) and won in 2001 his first Golden Calf for Best Actor for his leading double role in Amnesia from Martin Koolhoven which opened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. In 2002, Fedja was chosen as a Shooting Star (Europe's leading young talent) at the Berlin International Film Festival. He went on to act in Rosenstrasse from Margarethe von Trotta (Golden Beer nomination, Venice Film Festival 2003) and in Guernsey (Quinzaine des Realiteurs, Cannes 2005) and Wolfsbergen (Berlin International Film Festival 2007) both directed by Nanouk Leopold. In 2008 he performed in the German production Buddenbrooks (starring Armin Mueller-Stahl ) and in 2010 he played opposite Isabella Rossellini and Burghart Klaussner in Nono, Het Zigzagkind from Vincent Bal (selected for the Berlin Film Festival Generation K-plus and winner Young Audience Award Berlijn EFA) Television audiences know him from the popular Dutch series Penoza, Overspel and Divorce.
- After great successes such as Undercover and My father is an airplane Elise is now one of the most celebrated actresses in the Netherlands.
The success of the series Undercover on Netflix was followed by the film Ferry, and most recently the spin-off, Ferry series, about the popular character Danielle, both also on Netflix.
The film My father is an airplane premiered at the Dutch Film Festival in 2021 and Elise was nominated for Best Actor for this role. Next year she will be seen in four films; Soof 3, Faithfully yours, Hotel Sinestra and Stromboli. In this film, Elise once again has the lead role and stars alongside Tim McInnerny (Nothing Hill), Anna Chancellor (The Crown) and Christian Hillborg (Young Royals), among others.
Elise has become well established in cinema and TV, and we saw her in the hugely popular program Het Klokhuis, in Soof, Nieuw Zeer, I.M., and in TV-Kantine with her hilarious impersonations, such as Lady Gaga. In 2019, 2020 and 2021 Elise won the Televizier Star for best Actor for her TV productions. In the cinema, Elise stars in films such as Bride Flight, Farewell to the moon (nomination best female supporting actor Dutch Film Festival), April, May and June and So what is love?

Martijn Lakemeier (1993) first came to the scene at age of 14, when he made his acting debut in WINTER IN WARTIME, the Dutch Oscar submission in 2010. For his magnificent portrayal of a young boy coming of age during World War II, he won the prestigious Dutch film award the Golden Calf for Best Actor. He is the youngest winner to date. Besides the Golden Calf, Martijn was also awarded the Rembrandt Award for Best Actor, an important Dutch audience award. Nearly one million people went to see WINTER IN WARTIME in Dutch cinemas, which is a huge box office hit for Dutch standards. The film crossed the Dutch borders and was awarded Best Film at the annual European Youth Film Festival of Rome and was selected as the Dutch entry for the Academy Awards. WINTER IN WARTIME had theatrical releases in the US, Germany, Great Britain and Canada. In 2009 Martijn played his second leading role in the teenage movie LOVER OR LOSER directed by Dave Schram, after the book by immensely popular Dutch children's writer Carry Slee. In 2011, Martijn plays another lead in the well-received Dutch short film DAYS OF GRASS. After graduating high school, Martijn is added to the cast of the popular Dutch TV series FEUTEN, in which he plays the Dutch heir to the throne in his freshman years. Later that year Martijn can be seen in the critically acclaimed Dutch drama series THE SECRETS OF BARSLET. The same year Martijn stars in three Dutch movies: the award-winning film THE MARATHON, the art house film IT IS ALL SO QUIET, by Golden Calf winning director Nanouk Leopold and YOUNG by Colette Bothof. In 2014 DUTCH HOPE, in which Martijn plays one of the lead roles, wins a Golden Calf (Dutch equivalent of the Emmy Awards) for best TV drama series. Furthermore he plays roles in the films SUMMER and ZURICH. In 2015 Martijn played in the film VENTOUX, after the Dutch best selling novel by Bert Wagendorp. And in the romantic comedy YES, I DO! in which he plays one of the lead roles. In 2016 he played on of the leads in the film VENTOUX directed by Nicole van Kilsdonk. In that same year he finished shooting a French film TOUT LÁ-HAUT. He is playing the lead next to Marwan Kenzari in the feature THE EAST directed by Jim Taihuttu. From the age of 6, she practiced classical ballet. Anna started her career as a model at age 15 (1998). During her secondary school she traveled for her work as a model. After she starred in a TV series she studied at the Amsterdam Drama School. Emily Abigail Ashley Hoes was born on May 20th, 1994 in the city of Rotterdam. At the age of 10 she started taking singing, dancing and acting lessons at the Hofplein Children's theatre. After a couple of auditions for musical-theater she discovered that acting instead of singing was where her heart was and landed a role in a television commercial for Roosvicee soft drink. She made her screen debut in 2009 as Maite in the critically acclaimed "Maite Was Here". She went on to star in the films "Furious", "To Be King" and "Nina Satana" and had supporting roles in "Lover or Loser", "Tirza" and the award-winning "Finnemans". She was named one of the "Most promising young talents" of the 2012 Dutch Film Festival. In 2014 she won the Dutch Film Award (Gouden Kalf) for Best Actress in a Feature Film and in 2015 she was one of the Shooting Stars at the Berlinale, both for her starring role in "Nena". On television Abbey was featured in the popular youth series "Vrijland", "Spangas", "2012, The year zero" and had a recurring role in the series "Feuten", "The Black Tulip" and "Dr. Deen". She was the voice of "Violetta" in the Dutch version of the popular Disney series. In 2009 Robert was nominated for an International Emmy Award for his leading role in Skin. In the years following he worked with critically acclaimed theatre director Ivo van Hove and became one of the stars of the hit series Mocro Maffia. In 2022 a new mayor drama series (Sleepers) will premiere on Videoland. Graduated with the short movie De orde der dingen (1996). Koolhoven has a relationship with Dutch writer/director 'Tallulah Schwab' since 1993. They've got two children. The first film he made after graduating from the Dutch Film Academy was _Duister Licht (1997)_, starring a young Dutch actor/writer/director Marc van Uchelen , who was in his class at the Academy, and is a close personal friend. Producer Emjay Rechsteiner asked Koolhoven to direct the Television Feature Suzy Q (1999) , a script by Frouke Fokkema. This film was awarded both in Holland and abroad. His cinema debut is _AmnesiA (2001)_ that got a small release in the USA. He has been constantly making feature films ever since. In 2005 he made his first mainstream movie and it became a big success, both in Holland and abroad. He started making movies that were more accessible for a large audiences, which resulted in box office success. Yet Koolhoven is still loved by the critics and his movies play in festivals around the world.
