Father of 'Christine Böhm II', Böhm started his career in small theaters in Bohemia and Austria. During the 50s he also worked as presenter of gameshows on Austrian radio and later televison. He moved to the Vienna Comedy Simpel, where he played with Karl Farkas and Ernst Waldbrunn. So he became one of the best known comedians in Austria. After the sudden death of his daughter, Christine, he changed his name from Maxi to Max and played also some more serious roles.
