- German television program about Dr. Specht, a man trying to balance his personal life with his job as a high-school teacher.
- Alice is 16 years old and an introverted girl with a special ability: she hears extraordinarily well. When her mother sends her to a Catholic boarding school for girls, she remains an outsider in a group of self-confident teenage girls. Only Berivan, a Kurdish refugee who seeks asylum in Germany, tries to learn more about Alice. They finally become close friends, but Berivan's relationship to a childhood friend of Alice threatens the girls' friendship.
- A story of love for horses and the love for two women. The main part of the film is set in Germany and Ireland in the late 1800s and early 1900s, in the years leading up to WW1 and the Irish Easter Rebellion of 1916. The German cavalry officer and gifted horseman Godeysen, falls in love first with the German girl Lena, who must marry another, more suitable, man; and then with the Irishwoman Nicoline who is unhappily married to a man involved with the rebels in Ireland. The story is told as flashback from the hospital room of Godeysen's son a young wounded of a young WW2 veteran in the Germany of the early 1950s. It is read from the diary of his father.

The coup itself is like a suicide mission, but then Kercher, the Talhammer's biggest nemesis, gets wind of things...

Lili sees that they cannot be together and leaves Jost so that he can remain an honorable soldier in the service of his king.
- Renate Brinkmann is a German lady on a railway journey in Africa. She is wooed by two very different men. One is a hard drinking, cocky French aviator, the other a sensitive German gentleman.
- Three homeless youths commit petty crimes to get by in the difficult time just after the end of WW2 in Germany. When they become suspects in a murder case, a witness of the events comes forward with evidence that they are innocent of the crime. He offers them a chance to break with their ways and make a new beginning in his village, not knowing what this will ultimately cost him.
- When a police officer gets killed in his rural home town, inspector Stefan Bregert, department internal affairs, is being transfered for an undercover investigation. Some people remember him from earlier days, but he does not seem to be very welcome. The police officer was shot when investigating a camp for foreigners seeking asylum. Many Russians are living there. Bregert soon finds out that the Russian mafia seems to be involved in the case.
