Avery knows that the mastermind behind the theft is Paul Hollister and his associate Wes Anderson, who met in Vietnam when they were respectively a US Navy fighter pilot turned war photojournalist and peace corps worker. Avery also knows that the merchandise will be fenced by Eleanor Case, once a respected art historian. The case takes Avery and the Angels aboard the Pacific Princess cruising from Los Angeles to St. Thomas, the US Virgin Islands, the cruise where Hollister and Anderson are passengers, while Bosley remains in Los Angeles to monitor the movements of Case. The agency's task is not so much to arrest Hollister but find where the merchandise is to save the insurance company $5 million on Wellington's insurance claim. One of the Angels has to get to know Hollister, that decision, made by Hollister himself, being Kris. Beyond the known dangers of the case, other issues arise which complicate matters: the Angels have to figure out who the three men on board the ship are, they who are making Hollister nervous; they needing to deal with a less than easy going Avery, who is quick to point blame to the Angels whenever things don't go according to plan; and Kris' strong and growing attraction to Hollister. That attraction includes knowing that he did humanitarian work before turning to a life of crime.
- Eric shares with Thorne that his brother gave up on Brooke to aid the survival of his marriage. Eric is optimistic that Brooke and Eric Junior will stay with him after all. Meanwhile, Brooke lures Heather Thompson to Forrester Creations to confront her about her alleged affair with Ridge. The model admits that the whole thing with Ridge was a set-up. Brooke is relieved and declines Eric's offer to have dinner with him. On St. Thomas, Ridge and Taylor go scuba diving and spend another exciting day in their island paradise.
- Margo stuns Bill with news that she is leaving him and going back to Madison with Jake. Bill is disheartened that she is giving up on their marriage. Margo thinks that they have both given up on their marriage long time ago. Still shaken from finding Ridge in bed with another woman, Brooke faces reality that she will be a single mom with great sadness. Judy informs Eric that Brooke is about to leave the condo with the baby. Ridge calls his father from the plane and wishes him the best of luck with Brooke. A confused Eric now wants to know from Brooke what is going on. Brooke confesses that it is over with Ridge. He implores his wife to stay at the apartment for the meantime. Ecstatic to be away from all the drama in L.A., Taylor instructs Manny, the receptionist of her hotel on the Virgin Islands, not to tell anyone about her stay. Shortly later, Ridge arrives at the Sapphire Beach Hotel to take up residence and surprise Taylor.
- Taylor is amazed by the lushness and tranquility of St. Thomas, yet haunted by memories of her unrequited love to Ridge. One of the hotel's staff members, Ivan, recommends a very secluded beach to Taylor to max out her time on the island. Thus, Ridge has a very hard time to track down Dr. Hayes. Just as he is about to give up, Ridge accidentally spots Taylor. Back in L.A., Brooke explains to Eric that it is over between her and Ridge. Eric is confused about the sudden break-up, but Brooke keeps mum about the details for the discord. While Faith continues to take lessons in "etiquette", Blake is furious because Colleen, Taylor's nurse, will not disclose his ex-wife's whereabouts to him. Forrester Creations secretary Trish then confirms to Blake that Ridge is out of town as well. Blake fears that Taylor went on a vacation with Ridge meaning that they will bond. Faith begins to see a darker side in an unsettled Blake.
- Stephanie and Eric talk about Ridge and Brooke. Eric realizes that Ridge sacrificed his relationship with Brooke to make him happy. Meanwhile, Taylor gives up her resistance and spends a romantic, happy day with Ridge on St. Thomas. Eventually, Ridge gets Taylor's "permission" to spend some more days on the island with her. Felicia is very sympathetic when Brooke confides in her about Ridge's affair which came out of the blue for her. Suddenly, it dawns to Brooke that she should do some research on her own. Brooke has Trish deliver her staff files to a model who she thinks was the woman in bed with Ridge. Brooke then calls Reynolds Models Agency and makes an appointment for one of their clients, Heather Thompson, to attend a fitting with Ridge at Forrester Creations the next day.
- Macy, Saul, Clarke and Felicia celebrate Darla's birthday at the Taxi Bar. Faith proudly shows Blake her new upscale look. Too consumed by craze to find his ex-wife, Blake acts very harsh towards Faith. A hurt Faith decides to go out against Blake's instructions. Blake visits Stephanie and they get the idea that Taylor and Ridge might have gone away together. On St. Thomas, Ridge decides to not reveal himself to Taylor just yet and wait for the perfect opportunity. Ridge stages an almost drowning. As expected, Taylor jumps right at the resuscitation of the poor swimmer. The unexpected reunion does not get the anticipated reaction. Taylor is mad at Ridge for following her and not respecting her privacy.
- Stephanie tries to dissuade Eric from clinging to false hope. Eric is committed on trying to win Brooke back, though. A world falls apart for Stephanie, who was certain that she and Eric have a chance for a reunion. Later, Stephanie and Brooke accuse each other of influencing Eric. Brooke announces that she is moving out of the condo with Little Eric. However, Brooke openly doubts that Stephanie will be able to make Eric love her again. When Brooke arrives at the Guest House of the Forrester Mansion, it is empty. She wonders where Ridge is. Meanwhile, Ridge and Taylor tour St. Thomas. In the little town of Charlotte Amalie they even encounter a Caribbean street carnival. Taylor worries that the fairy-tale romance will end as soon as they leave the island. Ridge then stuns Taylor with a marriage proposal.
- Clarke continues to count the days until his second wedding anniversary. An unsuspecting Sally's only concern is her husband's well-being and she attributes Clarke's preoccupation with his alleged impotence. As books and advice seem to miss their mark, Sally encourages Clarke to see a doctor. Then, Darla walks into the office to show Sally the photos of her birthday party. Clarke and Sally are surprised to see a familiar face - mimicking the late Caroline Spencer - in the background of one of the photos from Taxi Bar. Faith wants to go out to see Ridge. Blake does not mince any words and stresses that timing is not right. After the revelation that he did not sleep with another woman, Brooke is back to believing that she and Ridge are meant to be together. Thorne fails to dissuade her from this point of view. On St. Thomas, Taylor is still at guard. Ridge reveals how he staged a scene to drive Brooke away. Taylor reminds Ridge that this does not mean that he is actually over Brooke. Ridge counters that all he wants is to win Taylor's trust. They kiss.
- Taylor thinks back to last night when Ridge proposed to her. On cue, he arrives to pick up her for a boat ride. Back in L.A., Brooke anxiously awaits Ridge's return. Felicia stops by at the guest house and is surprised to hear that Brooke believes that once Ridge gets back he will want to be with her again. Stephanie tries to convince Eric to give up on Brooke. Eric is absolutely convinced that Brooke will return to him as soon as Ridge is back in town and shows her the cold shoulder. In the Virgin Islands, Ridge and Taylor spend a romantic time on a deserted island where he has prepared a treasure hunt. First, they uncover glasses and a bottle of vintage champagne. Next is a picnic table at the beach plus some musicians. Eventually, Taylor finds the real booty: an engagement ring. She happily accepts Ridge's proposal.
