- Entrepreneur Johann Kessler discloses on a ski trip with both of them that he's retiring and handing the CEO post not to devoted son Niklas but to business-natural son in law Jan Hilbert. After an avalanche surprises them, Niklas finds Jan dangling above an ice rift and deliberately fails to save him, but Jan survived the fall. Niklas digs out and drags home his amnesiac father, even gives the wrong bearings to the rescue team. Chief Markus Kofler interrupts courting Emilie Hofer and Tobias handling family business affairs for a search which seems in vain, but they find a glove, start doubting Niklas's indications and try again after consulting Jan's wife Nathalie Kessler, who joins them, so Niklas tries to cover his tracks.
- Skiing school kids planning climate measuring in two teams get in trouble due to misty weather, with two falling badly, two missing. After teacher Chris Haffner's daughter Liv catches teacher Tina Melchinger with class lover Anton Klinger, ex Liv loves jealously gets killed skiing off without her helmet, followed by Anton, who is missing and suspected of pushing her. Searching for them, classmate Lukas clashes and falls over a ledge, even Markus can barely rescue him last-second. Miki was just used to fathering when his son decides to return to his mother.
- Markus Kofler accompanies the couple Daniel and Maike as mountain guides. But Maike is afraid of heights and would like to stop the hike. Suddenly she disappeared.
- On his way to start a school in Arizona with lover Sarah Kraus after three years international mountaineering, Styrian (Austrian) golden boy Andreas Marthaler visits his Alpine home as best man at youth buddy Stefan Hofer's wedding with Andreas's once ex Emilie Hofer, who already has Stefan's young kids Lukas and Hanna. Andreas convinces the couple to delay the honeymoon just long enough so he and Stefan can climb the local peek once more. They rush to the rescue of a fallen man, but loose stones cause Stefan to fall and incur a head wound which kills him just after begging Andreas to take care of his family. Bitterly blamed by Emilie, Andreas plans to leave before the funeral, but Lukas gets missing seeking his father on the mountain and Andreas reconsiders his future.
- While Markus and Katharina are enjoying their new happiness, Tobias Herbruch leaves Ramsau. Emilie broke up with him after learning about his affair in South Tyrol.
- Since Mia's biological father Lorenz König's arrival, Mia is torn between fear and curiosity, finally meets him alone with worried Markus's blessing. Markus was hired as guide by Salzburg tourist Claudia Kienert and learns on the way that daughter Sarah (16), whom she wants to collect, is unaware and climbing in Ramsau with boyfriend Tim to get acquainted with her father David Harder, whom Claudia always kept hidden. * Markus warns he won't force Sarah to return with Claudia, and finds the trio. Brawling, Claudia semi-accidentally causes David to incur serious head injury, Markus dislocates his arm rescuing the man, but there's no phone reach. Tim tries to get reception by climbing the summit, but falls into a deep crevice, while the others shiver an bicker all night on the spot. Sarah leaves alone in the morning, all now depends on the other mountain guides missing and finding Markus timely from clues.
- In a mountain hut, Katharina gets into an acrimonious inheritance dispute. A wealthy entrepreneur dies before their eyes and she has to witness how his children torpedo his last will.
- When Herbert, Ute and their son Benedikt Breitenstein celebrate Ute's birthday in a hot air balloon above the clouds, balloon guide Lukas unexpectedly jumps out of the basket with a parachute.
- [PART 1] Tobias Herbrechter wants to propose to Emilie Hofer after her kids accept his as future stepfather, so he sneakily takes Lukas and Hanna 'ditching' the last day of the term. They applaud Tobias but the weather suddenly turns nasty and he falls down a slope, unhurt but unable to climb back, so tells them to wait for him there. When Tobias arrives, the kids have gone with Ralf Trembacher . He was earlier that day observed on video camera by meteorologist Phillip Meinert kissing his wife and mountain weather station partner Franka Meinert as her secret lover, who supplied the advanced equipment but whom she just told it's over, to save her marriage with Phillip, who believes it over anyway, as she can't accept his job dedication leaves little time for her. Franka was rescued by the Ramsau helicopter after a careless climb down, unlike Ralf, almost killing Andreas Marthaler in the process. Suspecting a link with the missing children, Andreas already mobilized the team before being contacted by desperate Tobias, who wants to keep the peril from Emilie, unaware the cave where Philip took shelter was locked up by a rock slide while Lukas made a painful fall inside.
- After his wife's death, Joseph Binder wants to sell the family farm. That surprises his kids, mainly unpopular adopted son Philipp, who fights and storms out in the Alps and joins geology-Ingeneers Carsten and Sabine Lechner, whom mountain guide Jan Fugain and rescuer Tobias Herbrechter accompany to repair broken measuring equipment. They are hit by a rocks avalanche. Philipp however acts on dark motives, vindictive to his biological mother who gave him up for adoption. Tobias is missing himself. Philipp stole explosives for his ultimate revenge, also on the Binder farm family.
- Markus Kofler cancels an underwear fashion models photo-shoot on his top mountain Dachstein when called to rescue a five year-old, only to find Benni is a dog. Locally born model Leni now his tie to drop by at the chalet of her lonely grandpa Sepp Lindner, who fires his rifle rather then even talk to social services insisting he must move to a rest home, incurring a police investigation. Model Leni Lindner arrives to the site of happy childhood summers accompanied by youth friend Saskia, who wants to take over the farm with her shy fiance, Leni's still doting ex Toni, and Leni's cocky hunk lover, fashion photographer Hardy Blum. Saskia duly suspects may now revoke his testament, which names Toni, his support and a good farmer, heir to the small estate. Sepp goes missing next day, preferring suicide to 'lockup' in town, Leni goes look for him but has a medical emergency, which Saskis abuses by not helping her 'rival'. Tobias is not amused when mayor father Peter asks him to 'get running' his latest acquisition, a fancy hotel in Tyrol.
- Katharina Strasser lost her baby and learns about Markus's one-night-stand with cop Jessika while he frolics with colleague Carina Behrend in a lonesome log cabin. As secret lover professor Georg Scharnitz drives her back to clinic, they crash on a narrow road with a car whose driver Schorsch and tree fellow joint-smoking student passengers Leon, Andy and Chris dangle over a cliff. Carina and Georg inform the rescue team, which succeeds albeit it last-second for Markus. To cover up, head-injured Scharnitz walks alone into the vale but makes an ankle-disabling and thus is late to perform urgent surgery on Lukas Ferber's kid daughter Sophie. Emilie fears Tobias is emotionally drifting away and occupied with his father's hotel business.
- Extreme mountaineer Daniel Faltermayer holds a press photo-shoot on the Dachsteins presenting his latest expedition, but girl friend Lisa Kronach acts aloof, feeling neglected. Skiing down together afterward, Lisa tells Daniel she ants to dump him rather then live in constant fear for him, but makes a bad fall. Daniel carries wounded Lisa after a fall to a desolate mountain cabin, where he learns she fell for another. She ignores there he made a fall trying to return. Dangling from he cliff, he just manages to call the rescue number and is hospitalized with amnesia. There he learns her lover is his own dependable brother Manuel, whom he confronts having discharged himself, and plans to face Lisa at the cabin. Attending physician Verena is worried and alerts Markus, to find him as he's likely to collapse. Rescue pilot Michi ends up in crevasse having left his helicopter and proposes in hospital after his own rescue. Mia enjoyed getting to know Lorenz König and her late mother better at his Zürich home. Markus refuses grumpily to consider Lorenz's offer to pay for a private school in Zürich, but mutts reconsiders when he realizes her poor present school results compromise ambitions like becoming an architect forever.
- [PART 1] Andreas and Tobias repair a climbing course when they see a disoriented girl stagger and fall down a slope. When Andreas hospitalized the 16 year-old Paula, she's found blind and was looking for her father Carsten, who disappeared during their morning mountain walk. Mother Johanna Gastein asks for a search, which turns out empty until recognizes them on a photograph and remembers they went to the Gämsepfad south of mount Dachstein, still no finds. Another witness reports seeing them on the northern glacier side road. Tobias is delighted to meet a witness, who was traveling to Italy but had car trouble, so he offers her a suite in his father's hotel but is rudely denied dinner, yet she comes round next day. Andreas meanwhile worries as his father Franz isn't dealing with his burnt-down B&B, hoping aunt Marie will sort him out.
- When Nico, who is wanted by the police, is recognized while skiing, he runs away - he jumps out of the ski lift. Police and mountain rescuers go on a search.
- Abruptly fired rather then retired at the Huber-Alm ski cable lift, which he devoted his lief to, grandpa to be Anton Zeller sabotaged it and demands 100,000 Euros from new manager Sönke Jung, or a bomb will destroy its gondola. He ignored his wife and daughter Anna are on board with her husband Tilo Fink. Rescue nurse Katharina is painstakingly brought aboard by Markus's rescue team, which finds out the truth. Emilie's joy over recovering Franz's return is overshadowed by the arrival of Lorenz König, unsuspecting Mia's biological father, which Markus never told her the four months he knows, and she reproaches both. Even Anton Zeller's wife Karin ignores his troubles and desperate move, Anna realizes she shares in blame for his dismissal as business consultant.
- [PART 1] Frantically searching since two weeks their hiker son Niko (15), separated parents Christoph and Julia Treberist drive off a mountain road onto a cliff. Andreas saves them just before it crashes into a ravine. Tobias is not amused by peter's mayoral intent to charge Andreas for the rescue-lost equipment. Feeling guilty as Niko blames him for the broken wedding due to his lover, Christoph Treber is so determined to keep searching, however hopeless and regardless of dangerous weather, that Andreas ends up agreeing to be 'hired as mountain guide'. On the road, they bump into and team up with Julia Treber and her new partner, Christoph's former best friend Karsten Weidinger. Nico's stepfather. Back in town, Toni is worried by a suicide intent note found by Christoph's sister Miriam Treber.
- [PART 1] Seriously ill Sarah Lehner accompanies daughter Emma to Ellmau, for a beginner mountaineers tour guided by Lucas Baumgartner, but he left as they are late, and finds young Oliver unmotivated to continue, actually waiting for girlfriend Emma. Experienced Sarah decides to catch up, but never told Emma about her illness. Unpredictable falling stones scare Oliver into returning in panic, but Sarah falls on her line after fainting. Emma calls Andreas's rescue team, which flies them to hospital, where Sarah must admit she has terminal cancer, hoped to spend a last carefree summer and insists Andreas brings Emma to Oliver's group, which he does/ Meanwhile Peter Herbrechter pays Frnz to spy on Emily's guests, wondering about the reason for a visit in person from Sarah's brother and sister in law Albert and Ulrike Lehner, due to a business partnership.
- [PART 1] Locally born Felix Mooslechner returns from Munich to act as mountain guide for his goal-getter girlfriend, art history student Marie Langhoff, but Andreas's helicopter team must rescue her from the peek after she ignores his warnings. Needing an easier way up, Felix takes Marie to his brother, Bastl Mooslechner, who felt betrayed as they were raised -parentally abandoned- by a late grandfather whose farm he continues, while Felix left to the city. Marie explains that grandfather Mooslechner was the only survivor who has opportunity to hide in the mountains a Nazi-robbed Vermeer painting on evacuation at the end of the war. Tobias Herbrechter is furious when his father presents the hotel's new physiotherapist Katharina Strasser as his half-sister, who knew for years unlike him about the affair that made his mother leave home. She invades his service jeep to force him to talk, but while he drives to repair road blocs, spots and chases the Mooslechner car as they clearly forced a way trough, but looses control and crashes down the slope, unnoticed by the escaping trio, so without phone reach it takes a while until the damaged car radio-improvised Morse alarm is picked up at the rescue station.
- [PART 1] Environmentalist siblings Tom and Jana Huber desperately seek to document a golden eagle nest to obtain site protection before their father, real estate tycoon Dietrich Huber, and his local partner Peter Herbrechter, can build a ski resort there. She falls, requiring a helicopter rescue by the Ramsau aces Andreas and Tobias, which costs the pilot his license. Tom reproaches Jana she wants to 'revenge' their late mother more then preserve the birds, blaming their father while he wants a family reconciliation. While Andreas and Jana share his mobile home bed, his father Franz Marthaler joins the conservation team as nocturnal observer, fearing egg theft, and calls Toni Stössl out of bed to investigate a suspicious climber, but before they can properly interrogate him, a slide tarns them.
- [PART 1] Andreas must interrupt his photo-shoot model debut, diving from a mountain, as his team is mobilized to fly to hospital a woman who fell into a ravine wearing a wet-suit and awakes amnesiac. Then pregnant fishmonger Sophie Zeidler needs her missing husband Paul found, who went mountaineering on the Dachstein and rented a shelter cabin, where Sophie is shocked to find with Andreas there the belongings of a woman, apparently his (second) affair, who turns out to be her sister, just awoken from coma, Annie Furrer, whom their parents always spoiled at Sophie's expense. Paul's whereabouts may remain unknown until Annie's memory is triggered.
- [PART 1] Markus Kofler and Michael Dörfler find airhead brat Martha from Munich, with traumatic amnesia, clutching the cellphone of Simon Junker from Salzburg, whose wife Karin misses him and later learns, the child's mother is her former best friend (Bet)Tina Maier, Simon is the biological father. Both made a bad fall, so Markus leads the search. Tobias is delighted when his father offers the hotel party hall for his wedding, Franz to be asked to give the bride away. Tony is startled when his girlfriend Pia Hoefling, who must return to her sick father in Triest, offers him a family firm post and asks for his hand.
- [PART 1] Totally estranged after 20 years, 15 in Canada, Markus Bergmeier learns his stubborn father has cancer and travels home, a first visit to Ramsau for his wife and son Benny. Markus must alert the rescue team, having found a goodbye letter announcing his retired parents are taking their lives in the beloved Alps. While Anton and Ina Bergmeier painstakingly climb the local peek Dachstein in, they hear the helicopter searching for teen runway Juli Arwanger, who risks her life to avoid community service and gets badly wounded making a fall. The Bergmeiers exert themselves tireless beyond their forces to drag her to medical help, if they can. Andreas Marthaler finds the bitter son neither motivated nor informed to help, but his pre-teen heir Benny listened well and noticed in his grandfather's bedroom a photograph which provides a priceless clue.
- [PART 1] Markus is pleasantly surprised by a visit from his elder mentor Norbert Bichler, who taught him, as fatherless knave, all about life and mountaineering before moving to Chile years ago. Markus notices during an Alpine tracking Norbert isn't nearly as fit, and gives in when pressured to present him to local dairy farm widow Monika Wimmer to preset him to her adult daughter, Marie, who is told Norbert is her father, which Monika stubbornly refuses to acknowledge, until an accident forces things.
- Hanno Bach is hospitalized after a bad fall, trying to deliver ransom for baby daughter Lotta. The team races to find the 500 000 Euro which got buried under snow. Hanno's wife Anke and father in law Heinrich Wittmann, who suspects an inside accomplice and alarms the police, ignore how to contact the abductors. Young kidnappers Roman Stadlhuber and Vanessa Meyer didn't count on anyone getting injured. Marcus and his team must work out the truth but despair drives Roman into trouble. Tobias is distracted as his wife finds out about his affair with foxy assistant Francesca in the family's Italian hotel. While Peter celebrates his recovery, Franz must come to terms with living cautiously.
- An injured dog triggers a search by the mountain rescuer because its owner, Marie Vogt, who has heart problems, has disappeared without a trace. She is traveling with a man she hardly knows.
- In a stable in the mountains, a young woman gives birth to a child all by herself. When she tries to get help, she falls and is seriously injured. Your baby is alone.
- Andreas Marthaler has promised his dead friend Stefan Hofer to take care of his widow. He intends to keep that promise even when his widow and son blame Andreas for the accident. In the mountains while erecting a memorial for their friend Stefan, the find an unconscious woman with amnesia. She has no papers with her and they start searching for her identity. Apparently there is also a little girl involved who disappeared and her ex-husband who suddenly appears on the scene.
- [PART 1] Founding CEO Jan Ritter and business partner Tanja Wiemer engaged married two study buddies, mountain guide Sabine Haller and expecting father Paul Emerling, a brilliant but acrophobic engineer, to solve on the spot troubles in installing their demo installation of cellphone connections in too high areas by radio transmitter, urgently as a potential buyer is expected. When intoxicated Jan flirts with his ex Sabine roughly, she freaks and falls, apparently fatally, but actually onto a ledge, where Tobias comes rescue her by rope from the helicopter, but panic-deluded she pushes him -seeing only 'rapist' Jan- so they both fall. Tobias is hospitalized, in terror if his paralysis will be temporary, as luckily turns out later. [PART 2] Fearing a murder charge killing the lucrative deal, Jan pretends Sabine just left, but his companions get suspicious and gradually find out, so Jan desperately seeks to cover up, whatever it takes. Andreas's team finds still hysterically-hostile Sabine Haller. Toni finds a link to Paul's pregnant wife Anne Emerling, who inspires them to go look for him, so they find the trio, bickering and ignorant Sabine lives, news with a spectacular impact. Among the interested minor investors are Andreas's ignorant copycat father Franz and Tobias's shrewd Peter.
- [PART 1] Niklas Hochfilzer and Sophie Tiefenbach plan to marry according to his family's tradition, in a high mountain cabin. Niklas however gets hurt in a fight there with her overprotective brother Florian, who can't get over Niklas's affair with his own sports gear shop employee Lena Sahlmann. Andreas Marthaler came along as mountain guide, with Jana who is Sophie's good friend, and strains his arm saving Niklas. Meanwhile high pregnant Lena and her fiance Patrick find out her paternity test was falsified by doc Sophie Tiefenbach: not he but Niklas, whom she really loves, sired the baby, and Lena foolishly climbs after the wedding party without proper mountain gear.
- [PART 1] Rescuing Pia Hoefling, under whom a metal cables bridge semi-collapses, Tobias and Toni get in trouble themselves as more cables snap, clearly due to sabotage, so they must call for 'resigned' Markus to rescue them from Michael's helicopter. Twelve year-old Florian Meixner's ever-bickering separated parents Lorenz and Lisa start worrying as he fails to return from a mountain walk with his loner grandpa Rupert, having taken a longer route due to the unready bridge and call the rescue team. Rupert needs his medication daily, but has none left, finds out that Florian sabotaged the bridge to avoid returning home and exerts himself even more excessively when the doted knave falls down, needing to be pulled up with Rupert's last strength.
- [PART 1] On Frank and Leni Brandstetter's family hike with foster son Felix (8), Frank is badly hurt and falls down a ravine when the boy finds and accidentally fires a flair gun. He tells Leni to take Felix home and fetch him later, so nobody learns about the accident. Felix however twists his foot, Leni must call for help but first smashes a rock to her head and pretends amnesia. * Felix also keeps quiet, shocked, yet witnesses confirm Frank was with them. Markus Kofler starts a risky rescue search while the hospital tries to reassure Leni she mustn't hide the truth from the social worker who comes check up on the foster family and indeed finds Felix attached to his foster parents. Tobias and Katharina knowing their father Peter Herbrechter needs cancer treatment, Katharina moves with him to Munich implying she won't stay with Markus, who quickly lands into another bed.
- Andreas's rescue team must find out what happened to a duo. They found only amnesiac Annie Sterzinger, who made a fall in a rock crack and can't even remember if she was with her missing brother in law Paul Zeidler. Husband Benno Sterzinger keeps quiet about his part, actually on the search for a gold cons treasure which was hidden during World War II, during which the men got stuck in an underwater cave.
- [PART 1] Andreas Marthaler's Ramsau team rescues high-pregnant Sabine Baumann, who fell from a high rock, thanks to Andreas's late ex Sara's daredevil brother Joss, who spotted her during a perilous parachute jump. Andreas and Tobias, coached over the phone by pregnant Bea, deliver the baby, but she can't be questioned. Andreas Marthaler painstakingly finds out she stayed in Hotel Herbrechter, with husband Alexander and son Max (9), both trackless so far. [PART 2] Searching the mountain cabins, Andreas's team finds and returns Max. While his colleagues seek Alexander, Andreas looks into the dark family secrets, revolving around Alexander's brother and logging mill partner Hans, who confides cancer-terminal Alexander seeks to provide his family a fat life insurance, but that's not quite the real story.
- [PART 1] After e rare bear sighting causes fear of panic in the Ramsau tourism industry, championed by the mayor, Andreas's team saves a woman dangling from a rock, surprised it's Susanne Tiefenseer, who broke off all contact 20 years ago but now returned as Austrian university bear expert. Andreas helps check het camera traps zu helfen, but finds her missing the next day. Andreas finds her father, mayor Josef Tiefenseer, and brother Christian suspiciously silent and fears her bloody indicates an attack by the now wounded bear, who may be shot by the dodgy forester. [PART 2] Toni Stössel, hospitalized after a bad fall fleeing the bear, look trough the camera recordings which helps track down the family's secrets and ghosts, combined with the blood's DNA analysis. Andreas meanwhile decides to stay in town despite his fiancée's traumatic death.
- [PART 1] Tobias lets Emilie convince him to climb the mountain to the site of her late husband's lover crucifix as close since his fatal fall. She suddenly falls, Tobias wounds his hands climbing down her rope and failed to inform anyone. * Luckily Andreas in works out were they probably went and commandeers the helicopter, with new team member Jessika, Emilie's sister, but didn't leave a flight plan either and the machine, in need of ample repairs, can't cope and makes a controlled crash on a slope, during which pilot Michael breaks a leg. Bad weather prevents them to descend, they must seek shelter in derelict meteo cabin. Franz Marthaler, who minds Emilie's kid, gets worried enough next day to join forces with rival Peter Herbrechter, and alert rescuer Toni Stössl. Working out where the missing party may be takes much time. [PART 2] The next day helicopter mechanic Rudi provides the trio the right idea. Michael weakens and Tobias gets badly wounded saving Andreas from a fatal fall when the wooden floor gives in, needing blood and surgery. The trio finds them but is pressed fro time to organize a seemingly impossible evacuation, but Andreas and Toni come up with Mcgyverisms.
- [PART 1] Looking, as latest occupational therapy, for a rare wolf wandered into the region from Italy, Andreas's father Franz Marthaler suddenly finds one, but also the wreck of a crashed sports airplane. Andreas swiftly mobilizes his team, to fly the badly wounded pilot to hospital. Once Toni works out it was Martin Hallinger, transporting a donor heart for his little son Linus Hallinger, and had a young woman aboard, utter hast is required, as the rare fitting heart is good only six more hours. After taking Linus to Emilie Hofer, Andreas gets the boy to confide the mystery passenger is Martin's autistic bastard daughter Laura Weiler. Realizing the wolf must have scared her off, Andreas tracks her down, but her paranoia proves dangerous.
- [PART 1] The rescue helicopter feels to locate Thomas Wieser, who called them, panicking about 'moving mountains' and danger to many people including his daughter Marie's class on maintain trip but falls silent, presumable unconscious. Andreas, dangling on a rope,Toni and Michael only finds his backpack on a ridge. Andreas must be hastily dropped in a tree while the helicopter near-crash-lands with damaged rotors due to a pebble hail. Marie and her class are safe, but the brat refuses to go back to her mother even temporarily, so Andreas takes her home for now, promising to find Thomas. [PART 2] While Thomas Wieser remains missing, Andreas and lover Bea Kleinert drop off Marie at her mother's work-floor, finding her unloving to the brat, but adulterous with her boss, who runs a measurement equipment firm. Andreas uses Thomas Wiesers's double keys -proof he was moving- to search his new home, finds lots of geological research material, which the team matches with the notebook to realize he was proving drilling as for major construction damages the plaster pockets in the layer below the rocks, rendering whole mountain sides unstable. That materializes uncomfortably close, and Tobias's father, the hotel magnate Peter Herbrechter, finds his new natural spa project went wrong even in criminal senses. Meanwhile Andreas's father finds a way to cash his insurance payoff and invest it to keep busy usefully.
- [PART 1] Markus Stollbacher takes his girl friend Jasmin on their first hot air balloon trip from Gerhardt Hinzinger's company where she works, having taken the standard pilot course there from Gerhard's heir, his buddy Thomas, but the gas burner blocks, so they lose control and crush into mount Dachstein. The Ramsau helicopter rescue is just in time before it crashes down. Jasmin blames Markus, who froze unable to reach her while she dangled, while the Hinzingers, who aren't covered by insurance, even claim damages from Markus, who therefore resolves to find proof of the technical defect. Refusing to trust the police or wait despite his badly hurt arm, he takes his nurse-friend, Jasmin's sister Maya Wehrer, along, while Thomas is as determined to prevent him blaming the firm. The race turns into a bitter fight, leaving both men badly wounded. Meanwhile Tobias takes dancing lessons to surprise Emilie Hofer for her birthday, Andreas arranges to get his bothersome father out of the way a while, Michael bakes a cake.
- [Part 1] While Andreas prepares to propose with an heirloom ring to Sarah Kraus, her hotshot brother Joss and his pack of extreme sportsmen, hired to promote the region by Tobias's father Peter Herbrechter, blatantly races by snow scooter on forbidden ground. Andreas isn't amused having rescued Joss dangling by a rope while his team duly protests the excessive danger to themselves and he scolds Sarah for failing to talk sense into her daredevil sibling, who isn't remorseful but seduces airhead rescuer Bea Kleinert, who shows him pictures of her favorite glacier, Gramin-Alm, which actually inspires his next neck-breaking stunt. [Part 2] Andreas gets wind of the plan but the team arrives too late to prevent the scooters and their helicopter triggering an avalanche. Only Andreas and Sarah fail to board and are presumed dead when searching must cease at dusk. The village gathers in the church for a memorial service, but clever Andreas steered them to an old cabin and manages to give sign of life, yet even he couldn't prevent Sarah getting seriously injured.
- [PART 1] The rescue team is puzzled when called by an old man who was covered by an earth slide down an Alp, warning there's another victim 'in the mountain' but dying before the helicopter arrives. They and the police only find a non-swimmer who abandoned an small boat in the lake down the slope. Andreas Marthaler and Tobias Herbrechter ignore that Ulli Jäger was thrown down a deep copper shaft by the slide, wounded and desperately seeking a way out. Andreas is shocked when the senior is identified as Alois Maria Kofler, Emilie's father, who left the region years ago when the mine went bust. Emilie and sister Jessika, who left for Salzburg, can only speculate why he returned. [PART 2] While Andreas's and Tobias's fathers bicker over an expensive bottle they now own as last of the 'fab five' rescuers, the active boys finds scientific equipment, the clue to work out an impending geological disaster with major implications on a resort project, which Ulrich studied and was to fix by illegal explosions with two accomplices.
- Hiking with his ex Carola and her daughter Mia (9), Markus stumbles on mountain guide Robert, who made a fatal fall, pushed during a struggle. Rookie Schladming police commissioner Jessika Pollath wants to prove herself in this case, grudgingly assisted by fat constable , but the blood graces aren't Robert's. His weekend hiked clients, couple Tilmann and Sonja, are missing, so the rescue team starts searching too. Tilmann actually blames Sonja for his head injury with a rock while fighting with her lover Robert, and his condition worries dauntingly as they seek a way town, lacking phone reach, so he confides his radio-traceable watch to the river. While the search continues, Carola makes a really bad, deep fall, with unsure prospects even after helicopter evacuation and hospitalization, so she asks for a lawyer to draw up papers so her very single ex Markus, who was neither consulted nor feeling qualified, may step in as Mia's 'father' if she dies, his own pa Franz already having bonded with her.
- [PART 1] Andreas and Tobias must interrupt repairs at a climbing site to prevent 16-year old brat Paula Gastein, who is blind, falling to her death while searching her father Carsten, who disappeared while they ware camping, so mother Johanna Gastein asks for a search, without fats success, it's not even clear which direction to look into. Then they find trek witnesses, especially a rude tourist whom Tobias still offers a free suite, but they add to the confusion. [PART 2] Andreas Marthaler realizes at lest one witness lied and takes recuperating blind Paula along, while dealing with the uncooperative mother's panic when blood samples are required to identify blood traces, the key to a secret explaining a criminal complication.
- [PART 1] Ramsau local Hannes Bäcker can finally take his family on a mountain hike, hoping to overcome overprotective wife Silke's paranoia since the long illness of kid daughter Lena, but a wooden bridge breaks. When Andreas Marthaler arrives dangling from the rescue helicopter, he can only grab Silke to safety, Lena falls down the wild mountain stream and probably a waterfall, not found all day. Andreas feels somehow guilty against reason, Silke blindly blames husband Hannes, driving him so desperate, already in therapy, he sees no way out for the family except sending model-son Timo to his own former boarding school, the kid's utter nightmare. [PART 2] Even Andreas sees no point in continuing the search, when Silke claims to have sighting Lena in the forest, where Andreas actually finds another lead, inspiring a new, soon-promising search approach, while abduction theories must be considered. Meanwhile Franz Marthaler fails to get his B&B room ready for his Berlin couple first clients and believes he can invoke a local solidarity rule to dump the on competitor Peter Herbrechter's luxury and Bea gets a farewell party, to start a new life as expecting mother with the daredevil father, Joss.
- [PART 1] Archeologist Georg Fürth and Julia Siebental set out a winter morning in the Alps for his revolutionary find of Stone Age caves. Georg resents Julia became chief of the Schladming institute as lover of regional councilman Tom Reitlechner. As they fight, Georg slips and falls deep. Julia asks help from Tom, who fears rather his wife might find out as Georg's cellphone contains a revealing text message, so they set out for the fall site. Georg's high-pregnant girl-friend Sandra worries and calls the rescue team. Markus sets out, but his nurse Katharina gets wounded falling in the same crevasse as Georg. Tom and Julia reach Georg, but instead of rescuing him they cause a cave-in, leaving them in oxygen shortage.
- [PART 1] Thomas Wagner set out on a romantic camping date by a mountain lake successfully proposing to his beloved Sarah, but wakes up naked and alone by a burnt tent, wanders off and is hit badly by a tree felt by forester Oliver Grohner, her ex. Tobias quickly dresses after a night with Andreas's ex Emilie before joining him -now with her sister nurse Jessika- on rescue search, starting in hospital, where Thomas has amnesia and swallowed a dangerous cocktail, hence now needs urgently a donor kidney, which only Sarah was able to give. Andreas, Tobias, Toni and Jessika question both families, while Sarah is locked in a wood cabin by a masked man. [PART 2] While relatives suspect Thomas of hurting Sarah, Andreas starts the urgent race for the truth. It's a tight plot, requiring to crack several hard nuts.
- [PART 1] Franz Marthaler must be rescued after a solo mountain hike, having fallen off a cliff, dangling by his backpack strap hours until a search starts, yet next day he tries again. This time Peter Herbrechter guesses his plans and insists to come along, looking for their youth buddy Anton, the local smuggling baron, who crashed with his airplane 60 years ago. Newcomer Silke zu Hanstedt shamelessly tricks his boyfriend Benjamin Marasek, who took over Toni Stössl's mountaineering shop, to come with her looking in the Alps for that same airplane, and her 'heirlooms', actually a gold treasure. Markus meets Johanna Marquart, who bought some art from his late father, whom she knew well enough, and explains what Franz and Peter must be after, so he sets out for them with Tobias. Meanwhile both treasure hunt couples met and jointly found the wreck, with a gold coins load, but it tippled them into a crash dangling over a ravine.
- [PART 1] Three years after author and passionate mountaineer Jochen Winkler's alleged death on another journey, his daughter Alexandra Marbach (18) believes he's still alive, having met18-jährige Miriam Winkler (18), who recognizes Jochen's photo and old typewriter. The airheads brave bad weather to Jochen's avalanche observation cabin, stupidly triggering a big one. It heads fro the rescue team which was winging up a down)slipped car, so fast Tobias can only seek cover in it, joined last-second by Markus, together buried alive under the load of snow.
- [PART 1] Emily's Viennese boarder Axel decides against jumping to his death in a ravine over his break-up with bride Tanja, but driving off slips and gets caught dangling on a tree, wounded and leg-caught unable to reach his cellphone. During their last wedding day preparations, Emilie asks Tobias to abstain from the rescue search. Vital cancer medication left in Axel and Tanja's room suggests both are terminal, Tanja tells Tobias he just broke up with her. Axel's family suicide history and cellphone location enable sending a rescue party.
- [PART 1] Ambitious archaeologist Maik Zorn and Tom want to complete the research concerning legendary Hannibal's crossing of the Alps, supposedly passing the Dachstein of Tom's late sister Klara, who died in the last earlier expedition, and their famous father history professor Hans Hechtel, who never even told her mother what happened. On the way, their young local mountain guide Jonas makes a bad fall after saving lined-up novice Tom, whom Maik convinces going on is 'safer'. Markus spectacularly salvages him but his heart tampers on the flight to hospital. Markus's rescue team realizes Jonas wasn't alone and starts searching for his companion(s), rightly assuming danger. Meanwhile Tobias and his sister learn by accident their father Peter Herbrechter has cancer and needs to be made to commit to treatment.
