- We went on a week-long trip to Camp Oljato, a scout camp up in the Sierra Nevadas. We first drove up, via Madera, on July 3rd. We took a boat from the town of Lakeshore across Huntington Lake to Camp Oljato. We had gotten there before most of the boy scout troops, so we hiked down the road, found a rusty old bike, and hung around camp for two days. On July 4th, all the troops came to camp, and that's when the weekly session started. The rest of the week, we hung around camp, took some merit badge classes, hunted for mud-suckers in the creek, and had some epic games of dodgeball. On July 10th, we said our goodbyes and went back home.
