In October 15th, 1957 some meharists desert the French army in the Algerian South and find themselves in front of paratroopers of Bigeard in one of the most important battle during the war of liberation in Algeria. The event at this time had aroused the interest of the whole world. The question of the Algerian South really settled then as political and strategic stake as the French companies begin their search for oil in the region and the French army was preparing to enter the cold war as a nuclear power. Meanwhile, the war raging in the north of the country. This documentary tells this epic with the Algerian and French witnesses.
