- An European comedy about the struggle to save the Planet for Tinto Brass, linked to L'amore in piazza (2017) (2017). Wien 2008: the tenor Christopher Gluck is famous because at the Volksoper he sings 'The Bat' by Strauss with his cacatoa Sissy beating her wings and trilling to the rhythm of the music. To match Sissy with an equally extraordinary cacatoa, Gluck finds Romolo, a cacatoa who lives in Rome with the psychiatrist Trevi who trained him in the pet-therapy of children with extraordinary results. The two masters are exalted by the idea that Sissy and Romolo will be perfect mascottes for WWF ecological struggle. Trevi prepares a beautiful wedding cage on the terrace of his house in Trastevere overlooking the Botanical Garden, a paradise of trees, flowers and perfumes. Gluck brings the parrot-bride to Rome in secret of his gay partner, the special effects creator Maximilian Adonis who is insanely jealous of Sissy and would prevent her mating with any bird. Max says he is not interested in the future of the planet but only in the present: he has no children and doesn't want to have any. Gluck pretends he's going to organize an edition of Rigoletto in Caracalla where he will sing with Sissy in place of the hump. In Rome, the famous director Tinto Brass has been informed about the wedding of the two Super Cacatoa from his new Muse, the lawyer and actress Caterina Varzi who is Trevi's close friend. She has organized a photo shoot for a manifestation in favor of the Amazon Forest where Sissy and Romolo will pose at the Botanical Garden of Rome between flowers on a baby's pram representing the Amazon Forest. Brass is more sex-oriented than ecological: he wants to shoot the pairing of the two cacatoa for his new film. The first shots leave him upset: he discovers that sex between parrots takes place without penetration. Tinto Brass notices that Sissy, as an actress, feels that someone is watching her because she moves in favor of the lens and the best light and says: "A star is born, even if she is not a pornostar!". In the meantime in Wien Maximiian discovers that Sissy is in Rome not for a Rigoletto but for her marriage. He is horrified and looks for Robert (detective and escort) asking him to save an "innocent parrot". Robert understands "un parroco innocente" (an innocent parish) and accepts the work. Two days after the arrival of Sissy, Caterina brings Gluck and Trevi and their Super Parrots in Sicily for an important manifestation. They will animate a socioplay produced by Italian TV and the European Community for children's ecological education. Boys and girls carry the garbage on stage with the help of puppets in the form of parrots. When Trevi encourages children to tear in pieces the monster that wants to set fire to the Amazon Forest to create pastures. A teacher complains that the boys should be more reflective and less aggressive in their protest but Gluck and Trevi respond that the new generations should be destructive by all means against those who are destructive of a common good like nature. When parrots begin to fly around the hall and the stage to the rhythm of a waltz, it is a true triumph. Later, during the night, in the hotel Sissy disappears from the room. Trevi and Gluck are upset. Caterina calls the police. Also the mayor of the city arrives who was present in the socioplay and offers any kind of help the city can give. Police finds in the theater toilets some burnt parrot feathers and the heads of two roast chickens cut into pieces with a hammer. Gluck has a heart attack and is hospitalized. Trevi tries to remain calm and explains the gesture as an attempt to discourage their campaign precisely because it is very effective. The hotel mistress takes out a tarot deck. The cards say that Sissy is still alive and that they must wait for her in Sicily. She will return in flight if Romulus continues to call her from the theater terrace. This of course means not returning to Rome. What to do? . Here the thriller 'Cacatoas' stops without an end. Actually, this plot (a movie in a movie) has been imagined during a long "psychoplay on the road" that in 2008 had O. R. as director and Leo Riedel as protagonist in order to elaborate Leo's mid-life crisis. In real life Leo, after having married Silvia and having lived and worked with her for many years in a hairdressing shop, was becoming rich and safe from an economic point of view but not from an existential one. For this reason in 2008 he had turned in Rome to Ottavio, the dear friend with whom in 1975 (when they were both poor and full of enthusiasm) Leo had lived a short but important story of love that saved him from a PTSD and allowed him to recover his memory and his real name. During the psychodrama on the road in 2008, Ottavio (as director and as therapist) had the idea of shooting clips of 'Cacatoa' as a form of therapeutic videoplay with the participation of his two parrots Teto and Iside. Obviously in the definitive real movie the two levels of narration should be interconnected. In this sense, this five clips of 'Cacatoa' can be considered part of a movie in a movie. A third important (and tragic) level of the story comes from the inter-generational analysis of Leo's unconscious life that Ottavio Rosati did during the psychodrama on the road in Europe: Leo's mother had lied to her son about the identity of his real parent. When she was pregnant without being married, her father (a crude old-fashioned farmer) had driven her from home. Later Leo's grandfather hanged himself for shame after being accused of setting fire to a neighbor's barn. After the psychodrama on the road - and after losing on the roof of a taxi the hard disc with the clips of 'Cacatoa' - Leo returns once again to Vienna from his wife Silvia and his work. And in Vienna, in telephone contact with Ottavio, he has the courage to finally present himself to his real father. The meeting takes place at the same moment as Ottavio in Rome finally receives from the Ministry of the Italian University the document that authorizes him to open the Postgraduate School of Psychodrama and Psico-cinema. The synchronicity is impressive also because the house of Leo's father is located in the same district of Vienna where Jacob Levi Moreno did in 1921 the first experiments of the Theater of Spontaneity. The day after, Ottavio concludes the new editing of the clips for the comedy 'Cacatoa' and begins to write the script of the global film which includes the three levels of the story. Caterina invites Rosati to be her witness at the wedding with Tinto Brass that will be filmed in L'amore in piazza (2017). Rosati decides to dedicate the entire film to the struggle for the salvation of the Planet, concluding it with the return of Isis-Sissy from Teto-Romolo in the Botanical Garden.
