Fannie Hurst later adapted her story Humoresque into a play which premiered on Broadway on February 27, 1923, at the Vanderbilt Theatre and ran for 32 performances. Laurette Taylor played the leading role and the production was staged by J. Hartley Manners (then-husband of Laurette Taylor).
This film was parodied the following year in 1921's Humor Risk (1921), the first film featuring The Marx Brothers.
The film played twelve weeks at New York City's prestigious Criterion Theatre, breaking records for that time.
This film was considered lost until 1986 when it was discovered in the Warner Bros. studio in Burbank by Bob Gitt and Ron Haver. The original was sought out because Warner Bros. Studio where planning to remake the film.
