Burning Sands (1922) -- Lost Silent ?
PamelaShort17 June 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This silent adventure/drama was produced by Famous Players-Lasky Corporation and starred Wanda Hawley, Milton Sills and Jacqueline Logan. Released on September 3, 1922, by Paramount Pictures it sadly now remains a lost film and all I can offer the reader is a brief synopsis.

Prefering the desert than living in England, Daniel Lane ( Milton Sills ) becomes involved in the skirmishes of an elderly sheik against the plotting by his son and Robert Barthampton ( Robert Cain ). Muriel Blair ( Wanda Hawley ) meet Daniel at an embassy ball and feels pressure to visit him in the desert, partly because she has been told that Lizette ( Jacqueline Logan ) is his mistress. During her second visit the oasis camp is attacked, and Robert forces his attentions on Muriel and is killed by Daniel, meanwhile, Lizette is killed just after she explains that she had seen Daniel only to give him valuable information. Soon the British Army comes to the rescue, and Muriel and Daniel are happily reconciled.
