In one intertitle it is mentioned that Bad Mike named his horse Babe Ruth because it's always 'heading for home." This refers to the fact that by 1924, Babe Ruth had led the American League in both home runs and runs scored (at home plate) five of the previous six seasons, from 1919 through 1924. The only year he didn't, in 1922, Ruth missed 40 games due to suspension.
