The movie Braveheart was based upon the 1905 Broadway play "Strongheart" by William C. de Mille. William was the older brother of Cecil B. DeMille and was a playwright and director of early Hollywood movies. Both Mary O'Hara and C. Gardner Sullivan
had adapted William's play to the screen.
Nipo T. Strongheart was the technical director on the film and worked with the writers, Mary O'Hara, on accuracy of the story.
