Not Marikas musical revue type films

This is her only feature ,in Germany, that was a b film.Low budget musical.This film is equivalent to the kind of musical that monogram produced in the 1940's with stars like Gayle Storm.When George Jacoby and Marika Rokk got together,her budget in films began to get more expensive.Musical number got more elaborate.But in this one,they are small to minimum.But this contained formulas that would be used in her other films.But now the c.n.n.and fox of Nazi Germany ,DieDuetch Washanua. Nazis officers being trained ,to fight against the good guys.Nazis soldiers rebuilding a bridge,that was bombed by the Russians. Nazi soldiers who lost an arm are being rehabilitated through wood cutting.Stupid German citizens are ask to donate clothing for the Nazi boys.Citizens must sacrifice half of their cigarette use for the Nazi boy.Now for the film. Marika, now wearing her real color of hair Auburn,plays Erika, who helps her brother,played By Aribert Mog,of Ecstacy fame,in his gas station until she can get a job in show business. Men around her are crazy for her.The cook of a restaurant,played by Tragedy actor Robert Dorsey,who would be murdered by the Nazis for making fun of them in political jokes,the professional photographer,played by George Alexander.But shes' in love with A Nephew of an antique dealer Fritz ,played by Richard Corn.They both want to marry But His Uncle,played by Paul Henckels,Does not want to him to get married to a dancer,although he has not seen her yet. Pretending to be niece of D.r Wienowski, played by Ernest Dernburg. When Fritz Uncles meets her at the restaurant. She tries to convince the uncle how good she can be to his nephew, without revealing whom she is.She gets duped into being engaged to the Uncle.She manages to get out of it when a night club hires her for singing and dancing.She does not tap dance in this film.George Alexander,plays the photographer invites her to his place to fit one of his costumes to perform at his party,while he takes a picture of her undressing behind her back.This film focuses more on her comedic skills than her dancing.The the song of this title ,is repeatedly sang and dance in this picture. Even though it was done on a small budget ,it's still good.Available at Germanwarfilms.com 12/6/12
