Imagine ? A fantasy Germany ,where there's no war and the circus can go any where in Europe without fears of American or Russian planes bombing them,killing all the performers and the audience.This is what this entertainment film with practicably no propaganda,except some subtle references, showed.This films you have Rudolph Prack as the star,of Die Goldene Staht.Leny Marenbach is the female star of this film, one who starred in Friedman Bach,a train leaves. Maly Delschaft plays Marion Wallner a famous trick horse rider for the theater circus,has celebrated 25 years in the business.Her husband played by Paul Hoffman as Heinrich Wallner,plays the ring master.Well an accident happens to poor Marion and she gets killed.Hienrich has to phone his daughter,Helga, who just graduated from college, Heidelberg?gets a phone call of the bad news.Now she must take her mother place.A new performer has taken over the Berlin theater.Peter Stoll,played by Prack, who is a talented lion tamer. His side kick and assistant Otto ,played by Paul Kemp.The dumb blond acting Charlotte Daudert,plays a German cyclist ,who pretends to be french,Marrietchen.It's This time that Stoll and Helga meet and get interested in each other,so does Otto and Marrie. all of a sudden he has an accident with the lion taming act.Now he can't perform any more.So Helga help him by directing her in her horse act.But he's not satisfied.He want to buy some lions and have a new show.She leaves him for that ,but buys the lions for him through Otto.It's then he meets circus performer Bianca, portrayed by Marina Reid.Peter and her put on an act together and get Married ,but he still misses Helga.Now Helga has become a nurse assistance for a veterinarian for entertainment animals.Stroll meets old friend for Kroll circus ,played By Karl Gunthers,who was in the burger theater, invites Stroll to his circus ,which means he will be back home ,Germany.Helga finds out and ends up doing nursing for a another veterinarian in Berlin to surprise Stroll.She ends up meeting Bianca and Bianca and the Marriage is not working.The act is messing up.Bianca leaves Stroll and Helga surprises him in clown disguise playing with his lions dangerously.Well the subtle propaganda was how the animals were being treated.Very kindly, based on Hitlers animal rights movement.since he prefer them over humans.The emphasis seems to be too, joy to work too.The shot where the hospital that Stroll is recovering,looks like the institution that was used to exterminate the disabled.At least the building looked that way.Very entertaining.The life of a circus performer in the third Reich,or pretending Germany was not in one. location shot too in Italy and Spain It was advertised as digital quality, a teeny bit soft.Barley noticeable.This contain News reel and a animated a.g.f.a. color puppet commercial for dinner napkins,I thinks.
