Hank (
Leon Errol) and Ace Robbins (
Walter Catlett)are producing a play to glorify the state of Texas, funded by a few wealthy Texans. The star is Babs Lee (
Frances Langford)who tell Robbins that if he pulls one more publicity stunt involving her private life, she will walk out. The play is having a problem in selling tickets to its opening due to other conflicting events that night. Songwriter Bob Allen(
Robert Paige) and nephew of Wild Bill Allen ('George Cleveland'), offers a solution; Robbins can hire someone to pretend he is a rich Texas that has fallen in love with Babs Lee and he has purchased all the ticket for the whole first week. This causes a few complications.
